Spinnerbaits do work on cloudy days, and a little chop does seem to make them more effective than in glass calm situations. However in stained water, spinnerbaits work well even when there isn't a hint of a breeze. When it's good and cloudy though, I usually use topwaters honestly. Don't rule out spinnerbaits on glass calm days, even in clear water though. I do especially well with them in water deeper than 8 feet then.

Had an 11" largemouth wolf a magnum down while pike fishing last fall. Also landed a 16" smallie that day on a magnum, as well as two pike.

Weightless with a 1/0 EWG, or split shot rig. Some guys do well with a mojo or even a carolina rig, and shaky head/jigworm fishing is growing popular too.

Rapala Shad Rap.

I use a 3/0, EWG gamakatsu hook with the hookpoint hidden in the belly flap for the super flukes. My favorite color is white, but I also do quite well with lemon shad, baby bass, watermelon seed, and a couple other colors. With the 4" super fluke jr., I use the same colors but with a 1/0 EWG hook, rigged the same as the big fluke. Anyone used the magnum fluke yet for bass? I do well with it for pike.

Aquatic hitchhiking species fears are overblown. Sounds like more government crap to me. Sad that it's gone to Idaho now even.

I use a double uni knot and never have problems. I use about 2 - 3 feet of leader most of the time, longer can make casting a problem, especially with a casting reel. P - Line CFX fluorocarbon leader is by far the best.

Consider braid and a fluoro leader unless your willing to switch to lighter mono. Drilling holes into your cranks, inserting lead ingots, and then epoxying over the holes can turn buoyant baits into suspenders or sinkers, but it's touchy and easy to ruin a bait that way.

Both are good lipless cranks, but the Cordell Super Spot has a better action than the trap. Spots are my favorite lipless cranks.

Spro bronze eye frogs and bronze eye poppers. I also like scumfrog poppers too. If you want a floating frog with paddle feet, Stanley's ribbit is the best.

I love the powerbait plastics. Power worms are my favorite worms, and the Berkley Power Grubs have the best action of any grub around IMO.

Natural colored grubs, tubes, senkos, soft jerkbaits, craws, ikas, and finesse worms. Very natural colored cranks, jerkbaits, and topwaters in the evenings.

They are good lures, I need to try the fast sinker.

Poppers and spook type baits.

Welcome from another Senko lover. Often they are the best bait around. As someone said they aren't the best bait in EVERY situation. I don't do really well with senkos in super deep water, in heavily stained or murky water, or in super shallow water with emerging weeds. But senkos are a bait you must carry at all times.

Both Cotton Cordell Super Spots and Rat L Traps are good lipless cranks. However I like the super spot the best. Best action of any lipless crank with the possible exception of Bass Pro Shops XPS Rattle Shad.

Stanley Wedge are also really good.

My favorites are Pepper Hawgs, Strike King Premier Elite, Terminator t1 and t2, terminator super stainless, and booyah counterstrike.

Jitterbugs rock, both for bass and pike. Lethal in low light conditions, or as a slower alternative to buzzbaits. Black is a great color, and I also like frog, perch, and firetiger. Use a steady retrieve during low light conditions, and a stop and go retrieve when their is more light.

I like pepper hawg jigs the best, rootbeer pumpkin skirt, 1/2 ounce. I tip it with an Uncle Josh #11 pork frog, and work it slowly along the bottom with hops, dragging, and quite a bit of deadsticking.

Zoom's U - Tail and Berkley Power Worms are my favorites by far. Black is a great color for just about any condition, as is junebug.
