2009 5.7 Durango. Got it in 13 or 14. Had been a government vehicle that was maintained, but not driven. Think I paid 11K. It is the very most basic vehicle available in 2009. Power windows and a single cd player. If it weren't for a couple stupid emissions sensors, I would say it has been entirely free of any problems beyond routine. It will tow nearly anything. Mileage isn't great, especially for a 200 mile weekly commute, but I won't complain about that

Questions that come to mind before reducing this to pure luck.... Number of casts per year? Chair positioning? Knowledge of bait movement, weather, etc? Oh...and just out of curiosity, what brand, size and color of chair? Asking for a friend

Agreed. That's why I mentioned my experience/evolution. It is natural. I had similar run with Daiwa. I bought and promptly snapped a $30 Daiwa rod and proceeded to write off anything Daiwa for a number of years. Dumb. One thing about Quantum getting frequently bashed is that NIB reels are often available on ebay for $75-$100 under 'regular retail'.

I'd get a Rogue tether for that. KK is not thick at all....maybe an inch? Has a removable zippered cover that isn't waterproof, but does dry very quickly. I can take/post photo later. I don't know what the padding material is, but it helps my rear much better than anything else I've tried. They are known to be very responsive to PMs via FB msngr

I've used throwables, memory foam cushion, stadium cushion and others. Few want to hear it, but Kayak Kushion is easily the best option.

Anything with Jimmy Stewart, Bogart, Hepburn (either/both), John Wayne, Sidney Poitier, Brando, McQueen, Grant Olivier.... Interesting....I look at those off top of my head and few actresses come to mind. Not sure why not....need to think on it some more. But there's more actors who will make me watch despite the genre, title, etc, than actresses that make me stop flipping channels. Decades ago I committed to seeing all (nearly all?) movies in IMDB top 100 (it's now IMDB 250?). I think I got through all back then, or at least all i could find. There were some very obscure foreign films that I never found. It was a great way to get exposure to different eras of movies, directors and actors without wading through a lot of really bad stuff. Plenty didn't move me, but all in all it was a great starting point to find out what I liked and didn't like.

Your loyalty should be rewarded. But the reality is that you might draft a young international player, pay him a healthy advance at the top end of the rookie scale and have him walk out on the club during the first practice.

Couple years ago, I'd have agreed completely. Quality has taken a dive. Colors off, flanges deformed or missing altogether, deformed baits, etc. I've written to Strike King via their web page, but never got even an automated response saying "we take every concern seriously abd we'll get back to you...blah blah" Not a word. If they'd just put the coffee smell back, I'd overlook some of the crap QC.

Quantum PT Smoke is (was?) an incredible reel. I have many, and all have been awesome. Nice thing about lack of chatter is that I have paid as little as $100 for them new. I haven't tried all brands, but I'd be surprised if you can get a better reel for the $150-160 that these run. The KVD version got the added benefit of being readily available when he switched, so those came with additional discount. ....Many, many years ago, in my BBF days (before bass fishing) I bought a Quantum spinning combo...I am not sure where...maybe at Walmart....probably AAFES? Anyway, I probably spent most of $45 on that combo. Reel started binding after about a dozen outings and rod registered next to zero on the standard sensitivity scale. I did not even consider buying Quantum anything for a long, long time....and probably talked about what crap they made anytime the name came up. I feel pretty foolish now. Soooo glad I got past that because I love my Quantum reels.....even the Tour that sounds a bit whiny

I think I get more blow-ups on Rage Toads, but my hook-up ratio is abysmal. For no apparent reason, Keitechs barely get noticed. I like that the Zman float even with a big hook, but Zoom is probably best all around.

I grew up in Wisconsin and only knew crayfish. Growing up, I always figured crawfish were something completely different...mainly because I couldn't imagine someone eating crayfish. ? In VA and NC, I've heard both, but probably more crawfish, especially in NC. Another difference between Northern VA and NC is that there are more crappy fishermen down here. I never knew anyone in WI that fished for crappys.

MAYBE.....just maybe....if you replace 'lady... kids...guy...people...dog' with 'egret...deer...eagle...beaver...fox'.... then just maybe I could have a good couple hours without catching wildlife > people....almost always.... I'm not even sure I need the 'almost'

My first couple ships, we still got paid in cash. The Disbursing Officer set up on the mess decks with a big cash box and we stood in line to get paid. You could count on two others waiting on the mess decks. The Master at Arms would take you out of line and send you to the barber before you got to the Disbo if you needed a haircut. And the Doc was there giving shots when you stood in line. I had a good buddy who was a former EOD diver...tough SOB. But you get close to him with a needle and he'd pass out cold. Had to lie down in sick bay to get his shots, so he wouldn't fall out. I never minded getting stuck, but I won't watch, either. Had to look away. Still do.

Soooo....who would have thunk? Dry mono stretches more than dry braid? I guess I should applaud the author for sort of trying for a bit of data. But he keeps torpedo-ing his own 'work' with silliness like 'scienc-y' and 'we tried to apply the same force each time'. He's got ideas....maybe not ready for prime time yet
