  1. I had an opportunity a couple weeks ago. The homeowner's son at my construction site is just getting into fishing, So I loaded him up with a pretty big tacklebox full of baits, it was a great feeling. I knew buying in bulk would come in handy sooner or later! Its a great place here!

  3. ;D, depends on the temp's relationship with management.
  4. Awhile back I offered to buy a very expensive piece of equipment off of a member that was upgrading. Last week it showed up, my fellow member wouldn't take a dime for it. That is something that I have not found anywhere else, besides here. Sam, if there is something I can do, YOU JUST LET ME KNOW! Thanks again. Jay
  5. The "temps" in Vegas can vary greatly, from $20 an hour to $5 grand a night!
  6. Avid, I'm a little confused by some of those stats. Did you get the CX Premium , or the CXX Extra Strong?
  7. It was a white JIG, unintentionally snagged, weighed on a reliable scale, and no claims for the record were made. Man you southerners are bitter! ;D we've got the largemouth, and the spots all sewn up, just imagine what would happen when we get some monster smallies! Joking, only joking!
  8. I think that there is one more Pline issue to address. Most of the guys that have had bad experiences with Pline have had them with Floroclear. I use to kind of dig it, until I saw the light. That stuff has about as much resilience in the rocks as tapioca pudding. I wouldn't let my nephews use that stuff to catch bluegill with. In a side by side comparison with CX or CXX, or any other premium line for that matter, floroclear is just plain awful. In the short time that I was using it, I bet I broke off 20 or 30 fish on the hookset. Miserable.
  9. I used Yo-Zuri for awhile, I use ONLY P-line now.
  10. pretty visible, although i think it blends well underwater. I've been using it on highly pressured-ultra clear waters and have been pleased. I'm using it as a replacement for Xtra strong, but I go up a line rating with it. My dad is real hard of sight and he had no problem tying knots with it.
  11. Sounds like Evolution is worth a try to me. I'm liking it alot and it has already found its way on a few of my dedicated technique reels. Good luck man!
  12. I didn't say it was bad, that is actually what I prefer for smallmouth fishing, because it has such a small diameter. When I want more abrasion resistance I use CXX Xtra strong, but the added abrasion resistance come with a huge jump in diameter. Premium has good abrasion resistance, just not as much as other lines. If you are really worried about it, look into Pline's new evolution line. Same diameter as CX, but much higher abrasion resistance. I love this line, however, it is not flourocarbon coated, which might be important to you.
  13. I love CX premium, I use it for alot of things. Very small diameter, and breaks way above the line rating. Doesn't have the best abrasion resistance, but there is enough for me to use it in open water or light cover situations.
  14. I would really like to get a finesse baitcasting combo. for light jigs, drop shot, and dartheading, but i haven't tried one yet.
  15. Powell 704 C Max Chronarch 100B Lowrance X-96 ALL from my girlfriend! I thought that the Calcutta 400B was tough to beat, but WOW! Of course she got diamonds, rubies, and white gold, but I would have done that anyway!
  16. Maybe we should try tossing them in the livewell from the front of the boat while we are at it. We've already done so much to harm them. If you miss, the fish doesn't count. If you make it, you could spike your rod too. Man athletic sports are awesome! Just messin with you Matt, but I don't think that the "one more won't hurt me" type of mentality is the best to embrace.

Dryness-excellent. It feels like you are in your pajamas even in a downpour. But after less than ten trips, I have two tears, that I can't even account for. The tear easily enough, that you don't even realize that it happened. They are more tear resistant than they look, but then again, they look like tissue paper ;). I even bought their higher end model. I'm just not ahppy, but its alot better than a plastic poncho. I think I'm just going to buy a light pair of grundens and a Cabelas parka.
  21. I'll pretty much reiterate what commish said. They are definitely a workhorse and hold up pretty well.

  25. owner makes 7/0 and 11/0 EWG worm hooks. I use them for night fishing. the 11/0 would be PERFECT!
