  1. For those of you who have fished the Mattlures Bluegills... Any reason to add or not add a treble hook to the hook eye on the bottom of the body?
  2. Well I can say with 100% certainty that is was NOT Photoshopped. I held the previous 'record' on this private pond so it killed me to have to pass the torch onto this guy. Hehe. Then again, it is his family's pond so I have to be nice As far as it being bigger. What can I say, he's a fisherman! The full arm extension towards the camera is only natural
  3. Do I get the credit for fish landed from my boat? No? Crap This is how my buddy broke in his brand new Curado/Crucial combo I helped him pick out a few weeks ago. I think it can be considered properly broken in. Hehe. She went 8-7, and was released to fight another day (hopefully when I take my swimbaits down there in a month or so).
  4. Dobyns 683c or 703c. I have a 683c with a Curado 101D w/ 20 lb Sufix braid.... It's sweet...
  5. Can they work the net? One of my fishing partners let me marry his daughter. I'd say that's pretty good of him
  6. I think it depends on the usage. I have both a Revo STX and a Curado 101D. If you're talking about plastics fishing, I think the both would do very nicely. For moving lures like spinnerbaits, I prefer the STX. It just seems more powerful for reeling baits with higher resistance.
  7. I use the same rig I use for spinnerbaits. Kistler Mg MH 69APC, Revo STX w/ 15lb Floroclear
  8. If I'm fishing really heavy cover, wood or grass, I don't worry about a leader. If I'm fishing more open water, then I add a leader.
  9. Are there fish in those pics? I'm blinded by that obnoxious shade of red
  10. My name's Chris. I went to Ga Tech. Get it? ;D
  11. And this is different than any other thread discussing any other line options, rod options, reel options, lure options, etc?
  12. Interesting... I REALLY like the Floroclear I've used this past year... No breakage problems that I've seen.
  13. If memory serves, PowerPro is flatter, and Sufix is rounder. To me, I want a round line on my reels, as it would lay better. And having used both, I prefer Sufix. Can't put my finger on it...perhaps it's the shape of the line I mentioned above, but I seem to be able to manage the Sufix better.
  14. Any of the first 3 rods you list should be sufficient, depending on how much weight you're using.
  15. I have a couple of these, but I haven't got them wet yet. Based on their action, are they more effective as a crankbait or as a jerkbait?
  16. With the Classic coming relatively close to me, I'm considering making the drive to the expo. For those of you who have been before, is the expo worth making the trip?
  17. Out of the rigs I currently own: Kistler Mg 69 APC w/ Abu Revo STX and 15 lb Pline Floroclear 1/2 oz MiniMe Spinnerbait in shad pattern 1/4 oz Black/blue Booyah jig with Zoom trailer Zoom watermelon/gold lizard on 1/4 oz T-rig Bone Superspook Jr. Zoom lizard or trickworm in watermelon/gold on 1/4 oz C-rig And of course this is subject to change in the next few weeks as the collection grows
  18. D. All of the above
  19. Wow...you've had an 'eventful' few days
  20. I've had no problems with the few orders I've had with them. Good prices, good service. No complaints from me.
  21. Mmm...Dobyns 703c under the tree Yeah, I'd say to swap it out with a new one.
  22. Hook keepers on BPS rods. FINALLY!
  23. Sounds good, Randall. Let me know when you have some trips available
  24. Good to hear. How did the action of the rod behave? Was it more F, or hopefully a bit more moderate?
