  1. The bottom is the most important yellow, orange, black, white. Either imitation of a bluegill or shad or a silouette of somthing else to eat.
  2. The fish are alot shallower than I thought. Almost all the way up the creeks at blue marsh. To me it seems kinda early, but with the weather we've been getting i guess It makes sense. probably see what hopewell or nockamixon lake is like in the coming weeks.
  3. Yea. Pline is a thicker line anyway. You'll be fine. Usually has pretty good abrasion resistance too. Just can't like the memory.

Sup man. Welcome to the site.
  5. Well hello and welcome
  6. Went to bluemarsh lake. The lake is down about 5 ft and stained, some parts are muddy. Caught a dink reeling in a jerkbait. Had a few hits on rattletrap. Tried football jig and slow rolling spinnerbait... nothing. Guess they wanted the tight wobble and flash. Just was cold and raining out. I was freezing. So I left after 3 hrs. If it was sunny it would have been more comfortable.
  7. I've tried baid... not a fan, but that just me. Flouro is good. I'd go with at least 15 lb up to 20lb. Never broke off with 15lb. 17 lb is probly more popular. Just check knots and line Frays every so often when fishing. If you decide on braid start with at least 40 lb. Not for strength purposes though, 40 lb braid line diameter is just thick enough so it doesn't dig into itself on the spool of your baitcaster.
  8. Missile baits missile craw. Cut in half. A curly tail grub. Twin tail grub. Zoom Chunk jr.
  9. Anybody have any luck yet on the water? What was the water conditions like where you were fishing? Water is still cold and muddy?
  10. Mccoy Extra clear. Use for squarebills, spinnerbaits, really any moving bait does it excel.
  11. Here is another with my old stand by epoxy. Metallic gold with a dark brown back and an orange belly
  12. Bunch of different answers. With a graphite rod I use 14-17 lb mono/copoly. If you want the bait to run shallow use heavier line. With conditions you would use a spinnerbait, for example, muddy water or windy conditions, choppy water. I don't think line shyness is an issue. Fluoro CAN be used. But don't fret if ya don't have any. I think mono keeps more fish on.
  13. Jigheads... painted Silicone material tabs- black brown green pumkin Rubber collars/ tying material- thread or wire. Skirt tool... optional if tying skirts Get all this stuff at fishingskirts.com or lureparts.com or netcraft.com or ***.com
  14. Mono is great! It will do almost anything and everything you ask of it.
  15. You kno who is good. This dude SKARFishing. Usually fishes to music but has a few informative in depth videos that are very well put together.
  16. Just walk the bank with line in water
  17. $$$$$$$$$$$.... $$
  18. Look for an arkie style jig with a horizontal line tie. Those style heads can do almost anything
  19. What I did and you can do it at home is to sit or stand with the rod and reel in hand push the button release. Ever so slightly release the spool, still have contact with the spool with very very light pressure. Let the line out and before the lure hits the floor stop the spool with your thumb. Reel up and repeat. This "exercise" helps with thumb memory. You cast the same way.
  20. Check out mccoy extra clear
  21. Still use it. Pssssst! If ya want the lure to go faster just reel faster. Haha. Only downfall is if your fishing ALL DAY your hands may get tired burning lures back to you.
  22. Nice! That's what I was think of doin to my revos. I don't like the metal look where the line pawl is. It does tarnish easy.
  23. I think as long as the a rig and swimbait are on the lighter side, maybe an ounce or less. Then yea it would work.
