  1. 6'6" is probly best all around. Not too short not too overbearing. Can pretty much do everything with that size rod just as you could with a seven footer. No worries.
  2. Honestly, this is the first year I've used it, and besides abrasion resistance you get with it I'm really not impressed. I mean if I had the money to buy the stuff.sure I'd buy it more often, but after the spool I got, once it's empty I don't think I'll buy again. Maybe... I don't know. I think I'll just stick with copolymer or mono. Just don't think it's worth the money.
  3. I think a big problem for me is that there are areas that I wanna fish so bad but cant. Whether the shore it's too thick of brush or trees you can't walk it or get to the water. Too steep of a bank. A big disavantage. I mean I've dealt with this for years. But just recently it's starting to bother me. All the lakes I fish are either tree or brush lined or cliff banks.haha. what do I do. Chainsaws and climbing rope??
  4. Some people are just ignorant jerks.
  5. Well leaser lake will be making a comeback in the next year or two. Had to drain because of a cracked dam. Filled up now. If your a freshman by the time your a senior that lake should be awsome. Haha. Also you have the little lehigh for trout ( fly fishing if you want) nockamixon lake shouldn't be too far away. That lake is pretty good too. You can still fish leaser lake people are still catching from out of there. These are all the waters I have fished. There should be plenty more. I just never fished them. Sorry hope this helps a little.
  6. If ya have a bass pro or cabelas or gander mountain near ya go there and look at there house rods. The rods that have their name on it. Usually are decent rods and usually under 50 bucks. I've owned cabelas and gander mountain rods and I liked them alot. And I'm sorry I can't speak for bass pro rods.
  7. Try fishing the shallow cover YOU like to fish that is visible. Learn from what other anglers are doing. If your buddy catches on topwater concentrate on that. Bottom? Change it up. If it's what's working don't be stubborn. I'm really stubborn and it hurts me more than helps. As for rods I carry a search bait like a squarebill or spinnerbait. then a jig or Texas rigged plastic.then maybe a spinning rod with a shaky head. Hope this helps a bit
  8. Just add those little bells to the tip nothin gets passed them.
  9. Just get a 6.?:1 gear ratio and you'll be okay. Just reel faster or slower.
  10. Ultra light 6to7 ft should do. Moderate action cuz your using 4 lb line most likely
  11. Flipping jigs and spinnerbait and squarebills. The usual.
  12. Man hope your feeling alrigh. Yea the sun is nothin to mess around with
  13. Rocks gravel sand maybe a Bush or two. A couple fallen trees...wish there was more
  14. Pinchot lake should be near ya. Maybe Google that lake. Susquehanna.

    Hey man welcome.
  16. With braid on a baitcaster use higher pound test like 30 40 50 lb or else it tends to dig into itself. I myself for mono or fluoro use 15-17 lb for every thing except spinning rod. there I use 6-8 lb. Depends on cover light cover I use 15 on everything. Square bill I started using 17 to get the lure running shallower. Hope this helped
  17. And when your 16or 17 and still look 15you still don't need a license!!!! LOL
  18. Jig heads, Texas rig.
  19. Hello. Hope ya have good times on here
  20. Hello and welcome
  21. That whole stretch where 2600is located. That whole stretch i'd fish. That cove looks like a spawning flat. The hills around there look steep and I've always had luck fishing pre spawn bass near steep banks. I think the bass would be setup around there
  22. Water displacement. Every bait you put in the water pushes water, no matter how small, your moving water. Kinda fascinating.
