Dobyns Coalition Rods
just FYI they are discontinuing that line of rods.. They still have them for sale and warrenty them no problem, but if your dead set you might want to pick them up sooner then later.. got with the 735 for soft swims as you can also use it for frogs and pitching beaver type baits..

Is It Worth Changing The Bears On Bps Pqs With Some Bocas?
so why not just get the ceramic metal shielded abec 7s then instead of the orange seals? same bearing without the orange rubber seal.. They can be a pain to put back on as they dont seat easily, but thats why Boca gives you 2 choices of their abec 7s.. I run EVERY reel I own with the seals off and havent had an issue yet and some bearings are 6-7 years old.. im the number Boca retailer in the world (outside of Bocas main) and havent heard that complaint yet as 99% of the customers leave off the seals for easy maintanence and the orange seals run better without the shield.. The rubber ones tend to swell and push on the race.. the metal shielded ones dont have the problem, but for people are harder to get oil between the shield into in the balls..

Reel Custom Parts
ZPI IZE Semper FI tackle Hedgehog Avail japantackle.com Ichibahntackle Plat tackle you have to watch out for some of the cheaper handles as they are not a full carbon fiber or atleast dont feel like it as they feel like a soft graphite core and outter "carbon" layer..Over time the core compresses and loosens up on the reel handle shaft.. TRUE carbon handles like ZPI and IZE are SOLID and thus costing more..

Dx744 Vs Dx784Ml
784ml would be the way to go.. I just caught my PB 2 weeks ago throwing the football jig as thats all I use the rod for and its been on heck of a rod for me since Dobyns came out with it...

its worth it... If you do it your self though you will need a set of the Boca bearing spool pin pliers..

Crankbaits Fishing
I use a 5.7 daiwa type R+ reel for my shallow cranking and spinnerbaits as by nature I crank fast and those baits put out some resistance and I like the 5.7.1 as its been working great for years..

Seaguar Senshi Mono
Yup it's a good deal on all the seaguar line..
-
Seaguar Senshi Mono
Been using it all year on my top water rod without issues.. It's pretty d**n smooth and has been all season throwing walking baits.. No issues yet with stretch as it's a mono and expected to be..

Fluro For Spinnerbaits?

Daiwa T3 Ballistic
well worth the 125$ for that reel..
-
Daiwa Jdm Certate
certate is a GREAT reel and for that price even better.. super smooth and durable..I had some of the older ones and man they were nice reels.. I just hate spinning so they went along with my Exist steez custom..

Fluorocarbon
Seaguar invisx or Abrazx in 15lb would work .

Did I Get The Wrong Rod! Dobyns 735
It's prob one of the best all around rods Dobyns makes.. Jigs Frogs Pitching beavers T rigs Paddle tail swims I've never used it for swim jigs as I've got other rods for that.. I don't see why it wouldn't work well for SJs,..

Dobyns Dx703C Or G Loomis Mbr843C Glx?
Don't need to worry about the Dobyns.. I've owned more then 50 of their rods and had TWO issues with them, both being my fault.. 735 tip guide and 805 guide I broke .. Other then that nothing and I fish 300 days a year and let others use my rods to try out..

What kind of weights are you looking at throwing? Heavier T rig means what?

Frog Rod/reel Setup
For my all around I'm using the savvy 735c and pixy type R with 50lb power pro.. For heavier really thick long distance I use the champion 736c daiwa zillion HLC and 50lb power pro.. Won a tourney up in Wisconsin long casting to isolated pads that were in really shallow water with that combo.. Oh and I would never use a spinning reel for frogging..

Tatsu Fluro
Love it.. Stuff is super strong!
-
New Dobyns Dx704C
you will love the rod.. Ive had one for a few years and it is a great T-rig, Jig, and heavier shakey head rod..
-
Ardent Apex Elite
personally I think there are MUCH better reels out there then ANY Ardent.. I think its funny how people say, well they are made in the USA!!!!!! I guess if your happy with that crappy of a product coming out the US, then you have really low standards.. LEWS DAIWA Lexa, or The new Tatula REVOS SHIMANO

Dobyns Ss735C
im currently using the same rod formy froggin with 50lb braid.. It does a fantastic job at skipping frogs and has plenty of backbone to haul them out.. Now if your fishing REALLY HEAVY slop id go with the champ 736, but the 735C is such a great frog rod..
