  1. I truly believe there are way more covers not given enough credit to. Personally, I was a big fan of the Van Halen covers, specifically "Ice Cream Man" and "Dancing in the Streets". Other notables off the top of my head: Limp Bizkit - Faith Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal Fear Factory - Cars Ataris - Boys of Summer The Used/My Chemical Romance - Under Pressure (not better but great) Luke Combs - Fast Car Foo Fighters - Honey Bee Smashing Pumpkins - Landslide
  2. It's for an 18.5' G3 Angler. The tires are rubbing the inside of the plastic fenders and burning/melting holes in them. I cannot raise the fenders as they would then contact the side of the boat. My first thought were the springs being shot but maybe they make a taller spring for trailers?
  3. Has anyone used an over/under axle conversion kit before? I need about 1-2" of clearance in the wheel well and this seems like it would get me that.
  4. Here are a few of my latest. I have been wanting to get into the swimbait game for a while so I painted me up some from Alternative Lures.
  5. Miller Lite and wings for me!
  6. I have always just used Korbel. Plus, brandy is pretty cheap.
  7. Brandy...fun story about the Germans, 1894 Chicago Exposition, and a lack of grains during WWII led to bad whiskey being sold and a distributor in Milwaukee found a cache of brandy (Christian Brothers I believe) and a new version of the cocktail was created. At least that is what I remember from a news story a few years ago.
  8. I put jump boxes in every car in the house. The minute I need one...new battery/alternator diagnostics immediately. At least having the jump box gets me home to test stuff...alternator will show itsellf quickly after a jump.
  9. Agreed...however, the wife prefers Makers in her Old Fashioned.
  10. Did you possibly run over anything or hit any big potholes? I have heard of people with AWD errors on other vehicles that had a simple sensor wire that was unplugged or knocked loose. I would take a peek under the car and around each wheel and see if there is a wire dangling and/or all sensor connections are tight before tearing into anything. On these newer cars, sensors are abundant and can cause quite a few headaches.
  11. My dad has property atop a mountain ridge in Wilkesboro (we are from Illinois so yes, they are mountains!) and have seen 2 rattle snakes and too many copperheads to think about. I always hat hiking his property or clearing up his shooting range.
  12. Howdy from NC! Where in Wisconsin? My family had a place on the Chippewa Flowage near Hayward. We absolutely love it there!
  13. I have had PowerStop drilled/slotted rotors on my Tundra for roughly 70,000 and other than new pads am extremely happy with them. Unfortunately, I did replace the rear rotors with stock due to a stuck caliper. Otherwise the truck would still have them on the rear.
  14. It was me who did the install. I swear I went through the directions a million times as I was having electrical issues with the motor itself upon install. I’ll move it by the console when I get the chance.
  15. My motor head turns about a lot (Ulterra) but not like the OP described. Maybe this is my problem. I have mine mounted right next to the tm.
  16. If It looks fishy and I catch a fish, my mind says to hit it everytime I go to that lake. Subsequent trips with no fish and my brain still says it my honey hole.
  17. I agree with the scotches. Lagavulin and Ardbeg are what goes the quickest in my cabinet. The wife can't stand scotch so she hits up the bourbons a bit more than I. Lately, I have been mixing more OGD/Early Times with cherry Coke if I do pick bourbon.
  18. Technically I live in Yadkinville but I teach at a school near Stratford/Country Club/Miller or the 5 points intersection (Thruway shopping mall).
  19. When I bought my Tundra, service book said oil change every 5,000 miles. A month later got a letter from Toyota saying 10,000 miles is the new update. I go 10,000 and it looks good each time. Truck has just shy of 200,000 miles now.
  20. Howdy from Winston Salem!
  21. Old Grandad Bonded has been my go to lately, that and Early Times bottled in bond. I am usually a $30 and under kinda guy and right at or around 100 proof.
  22. Fished High Rock from 9-3 today and got no bass. I gave up and went crappie fishing. Marked a bunch in 8-12' but no takers. Tossed my crappie jig a little too hard and it landed on a bank, the reel in netted the first crappie of the day and it was a keeper. That tipped me off to shallow water. Played that pattern for the next two hours and caught close to two dozen crappies with 6 keepers. I just finished filleting them bad boys and to my surprise, spawners. All filled with eggs. If anyone likes crappie, go get em this weekend!
  23. I found out yesterday that keeping my small jump/battery pack in the boat was a wise idea. 2yr old cranking battery decided it didn't want to work in the middle of my trip yesterday.
  24. I did well with a ned on Norman 3 weeks ago.
