I use BPS XPS on 4 of my reels with no issues. I do use the KVD line conditioner also.

Don't know how soon you are planning to go, but the area has had an enormous amount of rain over the past two weeks and the St. Johns water levels are almost to flood stage. It usually drops fairly quickly, but it may effect the fishing for awhile with all the extra runoff.

Although I like the company at times depending on who I am fishing with I prefer to fish alone. Seems like I am spending to much time helping the other person get their lines unstuck from weeds, trees, etc. Then they usually bring a huge tackle box with them that gets in the way.

Have a Ghost and Veritas also. I like the action on the Ghost a bit better. Both are great poles.

Man that looks like great place. We bought our retirement dream on a lake in central upstate NY. Love being here from May - October, but then its back to Fla. for the winter. Live and fish in the Salt Springs area Oct. - April. May have to take you up on a weekend fishing offer one day. Enjoy your new place! Gary

Did ok yesterday also. Out for about 2 hrs. and picked up 3 smallies, 3 LM, a perch and a rock bass. Picked up the bass on top water, which was unusual for the lake I fish.

Have not tried Skaneatles yet. I was going to try Otisco this week, but the weather is bad. Went out yesterday after noon and picked up 3 nice bass and of course the usual pickerel.

The bite has definitely dropped way off here in CNY. I spoke with a couple of fellows on Otisco Lake and they told me the same thing. The darn recent weather patterns are not helping either. We just got about 2" of rain yesterday and the temp has dropped again from mid 80's to the 60's. Add that to the weed harvester that has been working the lake I am on it will be impossible to catch anything for weeks.

Go see him so he can meet the person, you, that he missed out on knowing all these years. His loss!

Just went to a health food store about some other issues, but they recommended taking 2 Magnesium Taurate about 30 mins before bed and I also take a Melatonin about 15 mins before I shut the TV off. Sleep good for about 6 hrs. Then the bladder kicks in!

Was out on Friday morning for about 2 hrs. before the d**n rain came again. 4 nice LM and 9 Pickerel. Not a bad couple of hours. Last two days have been cold and rain. What gives with the weather? Its 55 right now and a hard NE wind. Where is summer????????

I watch the Yankees just about every game. I don't see the replay as an issue. It doesn't really extend the game that much and it isn't like the managers are challenging every call. I have seen some calls overturned that really needed to be. The Umps are only human and can make mistakes. To bad they can't challenge some of the strike ball calls by the home plate ump. There are times I think those guys are blind!

Went out yesterday evening for about 2 hrs and picked up 7 nice LM and one big Pickerel.

I did speak with a fisheries biologist that happens to fish the lake where I live. He said it is a pickerel factory, but the pickerel and bass coexist just fine. Every time out I pick up 5 -10 pickerel. Good sized ones also.

BP is a great place to look and touch, but on line pricing is better. I got mine from Universal Mania. Good service and a reasonable price. There are others out there also.

I have a 998 with SI and DI. Love it. You can do much better on price than at BP.
