  1. Yup, another very helpful Vid, great teaching aid. Nice work..
  2. Suppose to be able to see them from about Chicago to Washington St. Anyone seen them tonight? Post pics or A vid if you get to see them.. I been trying to see them in the night sky for 30 years and still haven't ..
  3. I was not aware he testified, I did miss that.. I also share many of you're concerns as well, except on corporate punishment. The extreme lack of discipline shown today has had a poor impact on the nation... Punishment is not to be confused with child abuse....
  4. The Whipping was excessive, but to you're point of inditement , the prosecution gets to argue to a grand jury.... It's the old saying, you can indite a ham sandwich , it's pretty easy that way... Still innocent till proven guilty or no?
  5. I like PB minimas, they are the only ones I would use though... There are others and they probably won't hold up very long...
  6. Yep, aavery2 that is absolutely true too, when I was in High School corporate punishment was still in use, my father also believed, strongly in it as well, my grandmother, used a switch on me a couple times as a younger teenager, when I was in boot camp ... A Drill Instructer would flat level you if displayed a bad attitude or was a smart ass, Disipline is soo important. This is a fine line, to be sure....
  7. There are also many factors involving a hook changeout ... Cutting point, needle point , or 1x 2x or 3x , what fish type, bait material, where the bait is fished, I have several top water cedar prop baits with 2/0 hooks and the strongest split rings I can find, Those are for Florida waters, sometimes, on many baits it is not a exact science on making that choice, A person has to sometimes divulde a bit more information in order to get the most from other Fisherman, and even then there is always, always a difference in what folks are using... Many elements of the sport, just have to be learned on ones own.
  8. Yep, it's not going to be good for the Vikings running back. Nor should it... I have 0 tolerance for Child Abuse...
  9. Sounds like Gossip for now, who knows, little surprises me anymore.
  10. That cracked me up! Yea she would rather me just buy them and never, ever touch them, ever... One thing I learned, don't ever let her rattle ya.. Water off a ducks back... Yea, ok... I tryed to learn it....
  11. I would only suggest to just keep plugging away and study you're electronics this will help you know better, simply put..
  12. I saw/ checked them out @ DSG as well, idk... Seems like another step backwards, and that's saying something concerning St. Croix....
  13. My wife has the purse monkey baaaddd.... I mean the $300 kind.. Big enuff to pack for a week in Paris ..... But she will throw a fit on a $300 reel purchase.... A man can't win, first the bait monkey now the purse monkey.... Iam sick of monkeys.. Time to watch King Kong....
  14. No doubt, some really hard hits in this game...
  15. Yea, I like that, in America, by Americans.. Just like almost all my rods.. And soft plastics of course..
  16. Contrary to what many may claim, a fisherman, can be quite successful fishing with a more durable plastic, I am not referring to zman, but a more durable soft plastic, I mean senkos, have only been around a tad over a decade, before that, I caught thousands of fish with tougher plastic baits, that was my only point.... I have several ( too many ) bags of GYCB, as well as Rage Craws.... If it is causing a bit of a sting, then you should have confidence that a cheaper alternative can & will give good, if not excellent results.
  17. I guess for me anyway, I would search for a used like new Loomis Imx or Glx, they pop up here and there, fairly often... In a hurry? I would choose a St. Croix Avid Rod... In whatever length or power you want... They have it...
  18. On a 4" worm, T- Rigged, alls you need is a 1/0 round bend offset, the offset bend aids in keeping you're plastic & hook pinned together..., longer than say a straight shank, I use both , I do not prefer the X- wide gap hooks, on most baits... Most especially a 4" worm....I am not saying you cannot use 2/0 or even a 3/0 but generally I stay with 1/0 ... There is almost no point in a extra wide gap hook on a 4" finesse T-rigged
  19. Yikes , coral snakes, yep time to check out all building penetrations, water lines , windows, everything...
  20. Blackwater out of Florida still makes great topwater baits like that, I simply love them, I would throw that bait in a heartbeat... Dual props/ wood = great casting, great action and big bites! Great bait... not a antique thou , but worth 5$ for sure!
  21. About beating a dead horse, the rods are a joke, I have seen hoards of these rods returned and it's pathetic I mean pathetic, 2 things.... Boyd & carrot stix.... Boyd & the White Carrot stix.... So what's really different.... Nothing but color... They are junk. It's a shame too, so many people seem to revel in them.... But the breakage, poor rod build, and cork falling off.... Did I say pathetic ? What a rip off rod co.
  22. A pic would make identification much more feasible.
  23. You Guys! Just give those fish a shot of penicillin while you are pouring sodas all down there throats, Lol.... Or Doritos ......
  24. I like the penny color real well.... Nice work.. & a fun hobby!
