  1. #1 or #2 Gamakatsu offset EWG.
  2. When done right, short ribs can’t be beat in my opinion. I love a rare ribeye or end cut of prime rib though.
  3. Paddle-tails are one of the most versatile bass baits. There aren’t many ways they won’t catch fish. They work great Texas rigged, on a jig head, as a jig or spinnerbait trailer, on a drop shot, ned rig, or weightless. Rage Swimmers are my favorite paddle tails.
  4. I don’t think any freshwater fish tastes as good friend as crappie, although I’ve never used them for tacos. Bluegill, pumpkinseeds, perch are all good for tacos.
  5. Used to listen to Soilwork a lot. Great band. A lot of good bands come from that region
  6. Like other have said, I tend to keep the drag on my frogging reel about as tight as it can go without really torquing it. Last thing I want is slippage when hoisting hawgs from the slop.
  7. A big 7” senko wacky rigged used to be one of my top night time baits. I got a way from throwing it for some reason but it was always very productive for me once the sun went down.
  8. I never get on a plane without my crossword puzzle book.
  9. Almost as much as a dozen large eggs!
  10. That dude was a riot. I don’t know if I ever saw him post anything fishing related but he was funny.
  11. In that situation I’d most likely start with a 5/16oz.
  12. I feel the same when I catch a skinny fish. I would rather a skinny bass ignore my lure and eat a real meal.
  13. @AlabamaSpothunter those largemouth looked like they’ve eaten a softball
  14. Tiger muskie being sterile means they can’t reproduce themselves. Pike and muskie can hybridize naturally, the resulting offspring can’t.
  15. I think any hobby will always have its elitists. I don’t have much experience in fly fishing, but a saying I heard from an old fly fisherman always pops into my head whenever I talk about fly fishing: “Fly fishing is an expensive, inefficient way to catch relatively few fish”. That may or may not be relevant to elitism in the sport.
  16. I love Rage Swimmers for swimmin a jig.
  17. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Catch_Co_Baby_Bull_Shad_Swimbait_375_/descpage-CCBSS.html Catch Co. Bull Shad in golden shiner color
  18. I failed at that this winter. I’m 99% done with my winter checklist and it’s not even February. All I have left to do is fix the seat on my boat. These last couple months are really gonna drag.
  19. The selection is what really does it for me. Especially the rod selection. My local Field & Stream’s selection of rods is beyond terrible. They used to carry all different models of Fenwicks and Okumas but now only in-shore Ugly Stiks, Favorites in big obnoxious plastic packaging so you can’t even feel the rod, and St. Croix 8’ muskie sticks that look like you could joust with. And the tackle they have is always so close to what I need but never exact. TW’s selection is so great and the overall ease is what really draws me. It would take me a lot of screws up on their part to get me to stop but hopefully I don’t have to worry about that haha when I have an order coming I’m impatient.
  20. I do believe the point of diminishing returns is significantly lower on spinning reels than casting reels, but 2 things do stand out off the top of my head; weight and drag. A quality drag in my opinion is the most important factor in a spinning reel.
  21. Same here. I order from them about twice a month on average I would say. I’ve never had an issue with them. My stuff always ships within a day and in my hands within a week. But I never order stuff that is backordered, from them or any other vendor. I’m surprised to hear all the issues people are having with TW.
  22. Been almost 20 years. I was a stupid kid. The only thing that could get me to ever consider being in another physical altercation would be a direct threat to my family.
