Just find something in your budget in a 7 foot medium heavy. These rods are so advanced today that any of them will be sensitive enough to do what you want. If you have an academy sports in your area go get one of the blue h20 express ethos rods.

You don't need flouro to throw a crankbait. It's just a marketing thing to convince you that you can't catch fish unless you have ----- product. Any decent mono will suit your needs well

In the little club 15-20 boat tournaments pretty often but in these bigger tournaments not often anymore. I just don't have the time to put in it that I used to.

Just budget your money it can get expensive out there and you've got to want it. Just loving to fish isn't enough you've got to have blood in your eyes. You've got to eat sleep and breathe it and remember everyone has the same rods reels baits etc. Just keep it simple fish what you're confident in. Try not to stress over the little things if you jump off a fish just throw right back in there don't freak out.

If ya'll haven't been up there in a boat then you can't really comment on it. It's not nearly as bad as it looks. It's not as dangerous as getting your car every morning and driving down the interstate at 70mph

Saw a reel on facebook today that's supposed to have 18 bearings. Think it was on outdoor warrior facebook page. I didn't think you could even fit that many bearings in a reel

I've never had a problem out of any of my quantums. I've got accurist that are at least 10 years old that I still fish with. Only problems I've seen have been with the cheap ones academy would sell for $20 on father's day. Dad has a few of those and one of them the anti reverse is intermittent and that only started after we went to so awesome private lakes and he caught 3 bass over 9lbs on it and lost count of the 4lb+ fish

I've got one of those pos reels 0119 is talking about. It's caught big reds a couple of bullsharks and numerous catfish to 35lbs. I've never had a minutes trouble out of it

Toughest lake I've ever fished is lake tuscaloosa in central alabama in the summertime. It's not great anytime of the year but a summertime tournament on the lake will separate the men from the boys. I've seen 4 1/2 lb 5 bass limits win tournaments there in the summer time

Hooked a brick on a football jig once. When I set the hook it started rolling down the bank. Felt like a 10lb spot

Never had a problem with any of the bigger zoom worms. I fish them on a magnum shakey head most of the time or a 5/0 worm hook I don't like the ewg hooks on a big worm. The super tmac is all I throw on a shakey head. I don't cut it down any and you'll still catch 12 inch fish on that big worm but you'll attract the attention of some full grown spots

Dang I can't remember the last time I put the boat in and didn't atleast catch a fish. There are a few 2 or 3 fish days mixed in there. Usually if the bass are slow I can swap over to shooting docks for crappie and catch a bunch of crappie and a few decent bass. Dad caught a 4-14 lb bass a few days ago on 4lb test and a 1/32 ounce jig while we were shooting docks. I'm glad I live in the alabama where it never gets too cold to fish

All you need is a white natural green scum popping frog. They look like crap but they catch fish and i can see them. I throw a sizmic frog a lot usually in black or green pumpkin. That bite I can usually feel

Ya'll are crazy if ya'll think he is washed up. He is going to win more tournaments and probably another classic. You got guys like Tommy biffle that are still competing at the top level and Tommy is probably in his mid 60's
