  1. I like the 30-40 shimano spinning reel. Sonora Sahara or something like that
  2. I did a side job late last year and decided to upgrade all of my rods and reels. I went with curado g's I got for a 100 on clearance (you won't be dissapointed in them) and one chronarch e7 I got off of here. Honestly I like the curados better than the chronarch. The chronarch feels about the same but throws a weightless bait better (but not that much) but not almost a $100 better. What I did is match them all with powell diesels. Some people may look down on the diesels but they feel every bit as good as the crucial and compre's that they replaced. The curado 200g5 on the 7 foot diesel crankbait rod is sweet. It's almost like you aren't cranking anything in it's so smooth. So if I was you I'd go with: So 5 curado G's in various gear ratios 500 ish 5 powell diesels in what ever flavor fits your fishing 250 Then go wild one whatever spinning setup you decide on. I only use them for crappie and occasionally throwing a trick worm so I've got a couple of the ethos h20 spinning rods with whatever the silver $30-$40 dollar shimano spinning rods are and I've caught several 10lb+ hybrid stripe on them with no I'll effects.
  3. I feel your pain. We were flipping some thick matted grass. My buddy caught this one while he was trying to get his hook and fish out of the net I felt the thump and bowed up on one and just barely got the fish out of the grass he made one run came up on top and the hook ripped out right as my buddy picked up the net he was a good bit bigger than that one. A few flips later I felt another thump set the hook and thought I was hung till it started swimming off ended up being a 100+lb alligator snapping turtle
  4. Those comments were priceless. How do you keep that kayak afloat with the weigh of that huge set of balls? Lol

  6. I think the I feels good but I really can't tell a difference in my curado g and my chronarch e's. Especially while I am fishing
  7. Walmart always has good prices on powerpro
  8. I've got one of the $30 spinning reels I keep on an academy ethos rod that stays in my jeep and in the last year I bet I've caught way over a 1,000 bass bream and crappie on it. It's gets used minimum 5 days a week unless the weather is terrible

  20. It hasn't hurt them at all. I broke a 4lb bass off on a Texas rig in a tournament at lay. Let the wind blow me back re-rigged trolled back to the brush top bump bump set the hook got him in the boat there's my hook and bait still stuck in the top of his mouth. Wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't happened to me
  21. Get it patented before you do anything
