  1. Another thing that I didn't see anyone touch on is the money it takes to fish on the top level. You're looking at a minimum of a 100,000 a year to fish the elite series. Entry fees are almost 50,000 a year. You add in gas travel breakdowns maintenance insurance hotel room and gear. You are at a minimum of a 100,000 a year probably closer to a 125,000. You make a check in every tournament you are looking at 80,000....
  2. If I'm in a tournament you best believe I'm going to try to catch bed fish if it's one that will help me
  3. I've seen the Reaction innovation kinky beaver outfish any other beaver style bait day in and day out on different t bodies of water. I've tried the off brands and they just won't hit them the same way
  4. I used to throw a zoom ol monster all the time and for whatever reason I quit. Used to catch a bunch of good fish on them just started back this year and been happy with the results
  5. I can think of several lures I used to wear fish out on but for some reason I just quit using them. Chatterbait is one I used to catch a lot of fish on. Ive actually won some money on that bait but for whatever reason I quit throwing it. Rattle traps are another one ive won some money on and caught my personal best spot and largemouth on done even have one in my tackle bag.Torpedos, lizards, flipping tubes, and big crankbaits are just a few that come to mind.
  6. I took the tournament road for a few years before I decided it wasn't for me. The traveling was the biggest factor for me. You miss so much time at home. I was working 3 on 4 off and spending atleast 5 days a week on the water. After awhile it just quit being fun. No way in hell I'd want to fish for a living and be gone 250 days a year.
  7. I've got several of them and it is an excellent rod for the money.
  8. Vendetta rods for $33. I got a few packs of tungsten weights for a dollar
  9. The hooks bomber uses on there A series crankbAits it rusts like crazy
  10. I usually try to put my bait in the nastiest cover no matter where I'm fishing. I'll throw a squarebill up in a bunch of grass or in the middle of a lay down because a lot of people won't throw a 7-10 dollar bait in there. Most of the time you'll get your crankbait back because they run shallow anyway.
  11. Vicious fluorocarbon Pline copolymer man that stuff was stuff and kinky H20 express tungsten weights with the inserts can't even fit 65lb braid thru the insert Original spiderwire braid dug down into the spool
  12. I guess putting a filet knife to them while they are still flipping is harmful to there health?
  13. Can't go wrong with a curado. The only difference I can tell in my chronarch is that it throws light baits better
  14. Matthew Mccaunghey. Alright....

Legit reason or not that's a good way to get sent to the house. Seen it happen several times don't be surprised if you get called into the office Monday. You aren't the boss it's not your job to handle it.
  16. That was my problem with them. Whitney was buying me a birthday gift I picked it out she used her card to pay for it then 6 phone calls later and me threatening to never buy another d**n thing from them problem solved.
  17. Took me 6 weeks to get my cc permit. I'm in tuscaloosa and the wait is longer now because they bumped the concealed carry age to 18. Can't wrap my mind how how you can carry a pistol but not buy a pistol or ammo.....
  18. If I'm fishing a jig around semi heavy cover I prefer braid so I like a softer rod. I've got a 7 foot powell mh-xf. I also like my jig rod to be able to load if a fish hits it while I'm swimming it back to the boat. I feel like I miss some of those bites with a rod that's too stiff.
  19. My old bass club kicked off the season 2nd Saturday in feburary every year. Alabama isn't know for it's cold weather. But we had an ice storm the night before and the temperature was In the teens. I had been prefishing most of the week and catching them pretty good in the same cold weather. I had to borrow a lighter to thaw plug hole out so I could even get my plug in. I think it was 13-15 degrees at blast off and man you talking about cold!!! Anyway we take off run to out first spot slide a jig off the ice and boomp there he was 10 inch largemouth lol. Did end up catching a 4-8 spot and a 3 lb largemouth finishing in the money. One of the Yankee transplants and his partner blew it out with 4 spots for 15lbs on a float and fly.
  20. If they aren't pulling water up there it can be tough. I would have been looking for largemouth in any of the matted up grass left. While not on pickwick but not too far away we couldn't get bit on a moving bait but we caught several quality fish buried up in the thickest grass we could find
  21. I don't guess I even think about it anymore when a fish hits it's just instinct. I have tried to trip them up in the past if the fish hits the bait and runs to the right I set the hook back to the left.seems to work
  22. That's what I normally do. Pretty awesome a package can go from California to alabama in less then 16 hours. The only problem I've had with them is when I actually called them on the phone. That ended up being aggravating as crap.
  23. Met Denny several times and he was just seemed like a regular guy. Nice looked you in the eyes when he shook your hand. He signed a few things for us and talked for a little while till we told him we had to run and it was nice to meet him.
  24. It's zoom for most of my Texas rig shakey head stuff but netbait makes some good baits. For flipping and pitching it's reaction innovations. Something about the beaver/kinky beaver that the other brands can't replicate. I will say I used the biffle bug a little yesterday and it shows promise
