  1. What the heck is a crepe
  2. Do what my buddy did and open an outdoor consignment store. He carries new stuff but it helps a ton when you aren't paying for 75% of the stuff in the store
  3. What's a spy bait?
  4. Confidence is the best bait in the tackle box. I fish my strength no matter what. Deep clear water and light line for spots? Not for me if I can help it.I'm headed to the back of a creek looking for laydowns or grass in dirtier, shallower water to flip, swim a jig or throw a square bill. A lot of these guys are saying go wide open for 8 hours. That's not me I need to sit down and clear my head every so often if the fish aren't biting like I think they should. Ever try to figure something out and just try it every way you can imagine for hours only to go sit down for a few minutes relax and immedately figure it out? I have more times than I can count Don't fish the same stuff you always have just because you've caught fish there in the past. There really needs to be a rhyme or reason to why you are doing it.Everyone who fishes is guilty of that at one time or another. You also need to pay attention to the fish are they barely swiping at a spinner bait or chatterbait? Maybe try to swim a jig in the same color or change your bait up slightly, use a different trailer or retrieve. If you catch a couple of fish on wood on wind blown points but not in the backs of creeks on grass look around and see if you can replicate that bite on another point. Remember to be safe and have fun
  5. You've never used gorilla tape then. I used it to patch an aluminum boat had to scrape it off with a razor blade before we could get it welded
  6. Two ants fell into the bottom of a peanut butter jar. One ant looks at the other and says"hey hand me an orange." The other ant says," an orange what the hell do you think I am a type writer?"
  7. I've got a female mountain feist that's a jam up squirrel dog. I've taken her once and she is after squirrels as soon as she's out of the jeep so she stays home
  8. If you get frog togs get the set with the bibbs if you don't want a wet ass
  9. Ol tommy may have done that a time or two
  10. I usually fish them after dark with a small penlight maybe. Helps to be dressed in all black wearing a ski mask.
  11. It's in a hangar in North Korea somewhere atleast that's what I think. .99 cents and my opinion will buy you a cup of coffee
  12. Man what a rip off.
  13. I just have to think you'd be better off with hooks on that bait
  14. I think that tournament is actually on YouTube. It was in 91 I think.
  15. My phone must have auto corrected to templeton. I remember watching him on an old bassmasters tournament on lake pickwick when I was a kid. He just seemed like a cool guy and he was catching huge smallies when everyone else was struggling.
  16. Don't you fish pickwick? If so is Leon templeton still around?
  17. I use the powell diesels because they perform great to me at a good price. (Around 50 on clearance) I prefer a 7'6 medium heavy/fast for all of my flipping pitching and frogging so I've got a couple of the 7'6 diesels
  18. Tommy biffle has a big set of cods Couldn't help but laugh when he spit on the rattle to stick it in the hole in the bait. I guess I'm still 13
  19. Academy has a nice set of bibbs and rain jacket for 140 they've gotten a ton of good reviews
  20. Did the same thing once with a rattle trap. About the time I was reeling up the slack from picking out the backlash he jumped. Somehow the fish hooked himself. Things like that let you know you are living your life right.
  21. I'm 6'4 my nuts would hang out of the top shorts. I try to find a happy medium between those
  22. If all of this info fails i would take up decorating cakes
  23. I can get my rods and reels at cost from my buddies store but I still fish with the Powell diesels they run about 50 on sale at some of the online stores. May be more than you want to spend on a rod right now but it's hard for me to justify spending money on something I know I won't like. a 20 dollar rod or a 50 dollar baitcaster being a perfect example. If you are dead set on a combo academy sports has there combo riot going on right now and you can save some money that way. Not sure if you have an academy where you are though
  24. Never been there but I hear there's some world class stripe in that place
