  1. I was gonna start with a Twin Tail Grub and use them mostly the same way I would use a Chrome, Blue/Black Rat-L-Trap. It seems most above can't get over the fact that I called it a rat-l-trap but obviously I was just talking about the color. I had it made for the lake I fish. There are a LOT of shallow flats that also have weed beds, stumps and laydowns. Rat-Traps are effective in these areas so long as you don't mind getting hung up on every other cast. It gets old so I decided to make a weedless jig to use LIKE a Rat-L-Trap that won't get humg up AND I can drop into those weeds and next to those stumps. I did NOT make these nor am I shill for the guy that did. If you want to know who made them (and a bunch more) for me, send me a message and I'll let you know. Here's everything he made for me. All 3/16's and 1/4 oz. All hand tied. BTW...his specialty is hair jigs.
  2. I don't understand these words
  3. This is one of the quiet ones.
  4. Wow.....it's not clickbait. It's a jig made up to replicate the Chrome/Blue back Rat-L-Trap. It's just an idea I had and my jig guy made it up for me. He forgot to add a little red so he's gonna redo it. He's also making me one in Chrome/Black. It might be silly but I have an area that I actually think it might work on bluebird days. As far as my question and answer, I was just having some fun. I didn't realize it would confuse people...lol. It's weedless because the jig itself is based on a shaky head jig. It has a screw lock, you just can't see because of all the shiny goodness.
  5. A: Turn it into a custom weedless jig. Oh yeah! Dat's right!
  6. I suspect it has started over here across the state, too. I was last out about 6 days ago and I could tell it was about here. I'll find out tomorrow
  7. I don't give a crap whether it is the right thing to call a weightless T-Rig a weightless T-rig but that is what I call it and between that and a one with a bullet weight, I throw them a LOT. At least until Froggin season starts
  8. I include those in my head
  9. This sounds like a mighty fine day
  10. I like throwing the occasional lipless and a few other cranks but if someone told me I had to give up a whole type of bait, hard baits would be the first to go.
  11. I don't always throw a swing head but I look good when I'm doing it.
  12. I'll be damned...I didn't know I was I was doing European stuff. I thought it was just a swing head.
  13. Why are you slagging on the guy for where he lives and involving Christmas in a Froggin thread in late April. It's warmer in S. Georgia. That's kinda not a new thing. Besides.....I'd be perfectly happy if I never saw snow again. Christmas or any other time.
  14. What reel?....maybe more importantly, what SPEED reel?
  15. I knew opening this thread was a mistake
  16. I'm not sure..I got a bunch of them. None are very big so I'll say the biggun
  17. Oh hell.....I didn't even THINK of these AND I have a bunch of them. Bravo!
  18. I have a feeling I'm overlooking the obvious here but does anyone make such an animal? I'm not talking about a swing head. Just a standard skirted jig with a worm hook. You could do away with the weed guard and would obviously be a lot more snag proof
  19. Actually, I guess I was talking about the Powerbait Pit Boss when I said I'd never tried them. The old ones are Havoc, I believe
  20. I don't know about the new "Havoc" Pit Boss. These are probably at least 8-10 years old
  21. Like most of you, I still have several bags of old school Pit Boss. Absolutely tore it up today hopping them across shallow flats on an Owner Ultrahead Finesse Hook. Haven't actually thrown one in a couple of year but I saw the bag in my satchel and tied it on. Hang on! Love it when a good old bait you ain't thrown in a while lights em up
  22. St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass. Only rod I've ever bought without first holding it and feeling it. Even then I probably still would have bought it as it's not the feel that bugs me. I just do not like the way it casts or fishes. It is resigned to the garage and someday I will most likely give it away

Do it once (I have) and all of a sudden you become an expert at how to take a fish off a treble hook. Been about 5 years and I still get just the slightest bit of anxiety when throwing cranks. Past the barb lengthwise into my thumb. ER trip for that one
