I would stick with a shorter rod around 6'10 or less. The Okuma Concept that's on sale in a 6'6" MH looks good to me. Pair it up with a 28+ IPT reel and you're good to go.

Yes, they work. I use watermelon senkos all the time in my waters and it is fairly stained. I will sometimes dip the tail in chartreuse dye.

Get the more expensive reel, but make sure you don't pay retail for it. There's no need to.

You mean the $20 less? Curado's can be found for around 130.

When I first started fishing jigs I started small. Strike King Bitsy Bug with a Paca Chunk trailer. It's hard NOT to catch fish on these.

If it didn't say "Citica" on the reel I could've swore it was a Curado with a different spool. Those look nice.

If you have a flipping stick or a 4-5 power jig rod, those will work just fine.

I know the TP has a carbon fiber handle.
