school me on lipless crankbaits?
I throw a very wide variety of lipless cranks. my 3 most commonly used are 1/2oz cotton cordell super spot, 3/4oz lucky craft LV500 and 3/4oz lucky craft LV500GP. I mainly fish these in 6-10ft of water, and I usually burn these things with twitches incorporated into the retrieve.

Possible Swimbait Setup
for baits under 1.5oz, 17lb should be fine.

What's your go-to line for long distance jerk bait fishing?
i mostly use 30lb braid to 12lb mono for jerkbaits in the warmer months, and 20lb braid to 10lb fluoro for colder months

Daiwa Tatula Casting Rod
I had the 6'10" MH. I really like the way the rod performed, but it felt a bit too stiff to me for bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. Its got good sensitivity, pretty light, and I wouldv kept it for jigs and plastics if I didnt have a better rod already. I havnt fished with the 7'4", but it should be good for what you intend to do.

Daiwa Tatula or Fenwick Elite Tech Bass are pretty good rods around your price point

PQ2, The new "best $100 reel"?
based on my experience with the previous PQ, I would not be buying the new one if the only thing thats different is the weight. Tatulas have a smoother drag, better brake system and feels more solid in hand when fighting a fish.

Which is more important? The rod or reel?
spend more on the rod
-
Which is more important? The rod or reel?
at low price points (sub$70), the reel is more important because its more prone to breakage. At mid price points($100-200) the rod takes priority because the performance of reels are about the same in that price point. At higher price points ($300-500) its a toss up

Storm Arashi Wake Crank
I got one in bass color 2 years ago and caught 2-3 fish on it. Its got a good action, casts well and has good hardware. I havnt thrown it much because for some reason fish in my area dont hit wakebaits as good as other topwater
