  1. Northstar Baits is top notch quality baits....love all of their jigs, spinner baits and bladed jigs....
  2. I have this rod and reel and it is a great all around combo. I mainly use mine for jigs and T-Rigs....
  3. It is great for spinning reels, for a bait caster I would go with Yo-Zuri Hybrid....
  4. If you need a reel for distance then the SV TW would be 2nd and the Elite would be 1st....can't speak for the Curado DC casting distance as I don't have this reel....
  5. I would just go with the Tatula 100 or the Tatula CT....the SV TW are great reels, but for what you are wanting I would just save that money....
  6. I am in the same group, slower...I use a 6.3:1 reel... I have a couple of the new Tatula SV TW reels and they are a great reel for skipping baits. Never tried skipping a chatterbait though....
  7. My wife always complained about my obsession with having way too much of everything till Covid and as you stated everyone went crazy buying fishing supplies....now she doesn't say a word....lol
  8. 5/16oz Swim Jig
  9. I use Gorilla glue, I keep it in double zip loc bags in a cooler on the boat and in the fridge at home. Always keep it upright...
  10. I have and do use both, with that said I catch a lot more fish with the Dinger before the bait needs replaced. But I do personally prefer the Swimming Senko.
  11. Not an 8 year old school girl and don't lose any fish setting the hook this way...also my sweep may not be gentle either at times...lol
  12. There really is no right or wrong way to fish a swimjig....
  13. I have Suffix 832 braid on several spinning reels as well as some Fireline Ultra 8....
  14. As jimmyjoe said try it and see how you like it. I fish a Daiwa Regular action rod a lot and it is equivalent to most MOD/Fast action rods, I prefer this action for single hook moving type baits. For topwater I prefer a Fast or Extra Fast action type rod.
  15. No need to swing for the fences or to try and cross their eyes...lol You will feel a thump and the extra weight and I just do a nice gentle twist and sweep the rod back and keep the tip down and tight...
  16. Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper and Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper are my 2 favorite swim jig trailers...but I have a lot of other styles I can use as well...
  17. 30lbs braid, Suffix 832
  18. For single hooks baits like a chatterbait, swimjig or a spinnerbait I like Daiwa MH/R action rod which is close to other rod manufactures MOD/Fast...I also use 10 to 12lbs fluorocarbon...
  19. I use Big Bite Baits for bass and panfish, they are great baits...
  20. Black and Blue is one of my main go to colors for a swim jig in any color of water...
  21. A swim jig is my go to bait, always have at least one tied on... I like the fact you can cover a lot of water with them quickly much like a spinner bait and for me and lots of others they definitely do produce some big bass...
  22. I always use KVD L&L on my line, in my opinion it helps tremendously...
  23. Yo-Zuri Hybrid is a great all around line for all types of presentations...Just be sure to always treat it with KVD L&L....
  24. I will throw a swim jig pretty much anytime, anywhere and in any water condition...I will not hesitate to throw a chatterbait if the fish are not biting the swim jig. I have a lot of confidence in both baits and both baits will catch quality fish... You will always find a swim jig, chatterbait and a spinnerbait tied on a rod on the deck of my boat....
