  1. Yo-Zuri Hybrid and P-Line Fluoroclear...
  2. I would use 12lbs Yozuri Hybrid....
  3. I throw a lot of different style jigs, I mainly use all North Star Baits Jigs. My favorite is a Swim Jig... But I also love the Flip & Swim Jig, Southpaw, Black Football and Black Series jigs, all just depends on the type of cover and structure I am fishing...
  4. I use copper lenses with green mirror...I have grey with blue mirror as well. I prefer my copper lenses for fishing...
  5. My 2 favorite spinner bait companies are War Eagle and North Star Baits, North Star Baits hidden weight spinner bait is my favorite...
  6. I have both the orignial Tatula rods as well as some of the newer ones. The newer ones do have slightly smaller guides on them but they are not micro guides...Love all my Tatula rods original and new....
  7. As others have mentioned use a backer so you use less fluorocarbon and use KVD L&L Conditioner and be sure to moisten your knots very well when tying and I personally will re tie after 3 to 4 fish...
  8. The Tatula frog rod is for heavier frog presentation and thick lily pads, at least that is what mine is used specifically for. The 7'1 1" Tatula would work very well for both presentations. I currently have a original Tatula Type-R in 8.1:1 for my frog rod and my jig rod. Any of the reels you mentioned would be great, ratio is completely up to you, I prefer the 8.1:1 speed reels for just about everything. 17lbs fluorocarbon will be just fine...
  9. Skipping a jig under and around docks and other cover...and still trying to master flipping and pitching consistently...
  10. I use Daiwa Samurai Braid in 50lbs...
  11. My favorite is my new Dawia Tatula SV reels but I still love my original Tatula Type-R reels....
  12. I use 15lbs AbrazX Fluorocarbon and the wife uses 30lbs Power Pro braid...
  13. The Daiwa Tatula rods are outstanding rods for the price point...
  14. I use a white, black and blue and green brown combination...
  15. I would lean toward the MH/MF rod, I personally like a rod with a MF action for moving lures like spinner baits, chatter baits and swim jigs....etc
  16. Never use a trailer or trailer hook on my spinner baits...
  17. I have a Daiwa Tatula 7' 4" H/F rod for frogging with a Tatula Type-R reel in 8.1:1 and for flipping and pitching I use a Daiwa Tatula 7' 6" H/F rod with a Tatula Type-R reel in 8.1:1... I use straight braid for my frog rod and straight braid with a fluorocarbon leader if needed for flipping and pitching...
  18. I use 12# or 15# fluorocarbon for chatterbaits...
  19. Whatever you want to call that color combination of brown and purple the fact remains it just flat out catches fish...
  20. I really like NorthStar Baits jigs, I keep it pretty simple with colors and sizes. I use a Knockout Series Flipping Jig, Black Series Football Jig, Black Series Alien Jig, Southpaw Jig(grass type jig), Flip & Swim Jig and a Hair Jig. I have a jig problem according to the wife...lol I use to buy all sorts of colors and every color that looked cool when I first started fishing jigs and quickly learned to simplify it and it helped my jig fishing tremendously. Colors I use are Black and Blue, PB&J(brown with some purple), Brown Craw(brown with some orange) and Rotten Banana(kind of a green color). Sizes I use are 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4oz, I do have a couple 1oz but very rarely use them. Trailers you can pretty much use anything you like, 99% of the time I match the trailer to the jig. I use double tail grubs, single tail grubs, craw chunks, craw style trailers, beaver style baits, swim baits....etc there really is nothing that you can't use for a jig trailer. As for trailer size it is one giant ongoing experiment as is what size jig to use. The fish will let you know if you are the right path. Enjoy fishing jigs and welcome to the jig fishing family....lol
  21. Correct I use the graphite rod for this but I also have the glass model for cranks.
  22. I love the Daiwa Tatula 7' 2" MH/R for spinner baits and chatter baits...
  23. I personally would steer away from a XF rod, especially for a couple of the techniques you want to use it for(spinner baits and chatter baits)...
  24. I have the AG for my Sig P320 and have had absolutely no issues with it and I also have one for my P365 and have had no problems with it rubbing the coating off the weapon either. I have had my P320 holster for almost 2 years and carry it every day. It is very comfortable and reliable. Definitely do not go cheap on the belt, the proper belt can make all the difference, I use Hanks Premier CCW belt.
