Ollies has fresh fishing gear
Yep, I landed an arm load of zoom trick & finesse worms last week. I will have to scoot back and check out the chatter baits.

Trick worm vs finesse worm
Finesse on a shakey head or drop shot. Trick on everything else.

Have you replaced your LC Sammys?
Me too. I have a box full of them. I also have a spook collection. Great top waters!

Braid to mono knot
The purpose of the knot is to attach a leader to a main line. Especially effective when the diameter of the lines are different. I also use this tool for hook snells. Easy to use.

Braid to mono knot
My arthritic hands now use a knot tying tool and I love it. Opposing nail knot is very small to fit through guides and incredibly strong. I use it for attaching any leader.

Soft plastics that live up to the hype..
Culprit Zoom trick & finesse Rage craws In no particular order....

Fuji PULS Seats
I'm kind of crazy about the ACS seats. I have them on several of my personal rods. Love em!

Is there a preferred epoxy for rod building?
I like U-40 "Rod Bond" because it mixes to a paste/gel consistency and stays where you put it. I hate when the glue runs all over the place. Rod Bond is also very strong. JMHO

What scents do you for putting on your plastics and jigs?
Megastrike on plastics, nothing on hard baits.

What ruins a fishing trip for you more than anything?
Wind is about the only thing (other than injury) that will cause me to hang it up.

Shimano DC Models
I have the old Calcutta DC (round reel). I love fishing with it.
-
shakey heads
Not trying to argue, but the worm in that video looks like a Strike King 3X which is a floating worm. A conventional plastic worm that long wouldn't stand straight up 4" behind the hook, even if the jig stayed upright. Don't get me wrong, I love Bobby's shakey jig and use them all the time.

shakey heads
Pretty simple if the trailer floats it will stand up, otherwise it will flop. I will use them either way. Its a confidence bait for me.

Rod making glues
Rod Bond for cork rings, grips and seats. I have some rods with 10-15 years on them with no issues. Hot glue for tips and "Threadmaster" and "Flexcoat" for wraps.

High End Spinning Reels?
I am also a Stella fan and the "Twin Power" (JDM Sustain), I have is pretty sweet also for less $$. No one wants a Stella until they get to fish with one.

What are yall using for a UL setup tight now?
From the "just because I could department". I bought a 6' 4 wt 1 piece "Lamiglas" fly rod and built an UL rod. I love fishing with it. Usually a Stella 1000 with 4lb co-polymer line. I call it my "noodle rod".

Flipping Rod for Frogging?
I fish frogs with my 'flippin stick".
