  1. Ahhh... Gotta love BR! http://www.bassresource.com/Classic/bass_classic_gary_klein.html
  2. What?!?!?! I guess I missed that one! Google here I come!
  3. You can shock the crap out of yourself and go with the 7'3" Heavy H20 Ethos micro from Academy Sports. Killer rod, no hassle returns should anything happen. $60 bucks on sale!
  4. Interesting. Seem's the price point is a little high for me. I'll just go with a frog and save 4.99
  5. "It is deeply distressing that the media hype of the situation is being taken to such levels of sensationalism and we strongly urge who ever is pursuing these avenues to desist from such deplorable actions." Taken straight from the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authorities Website. Also interesting to read that 4 elephants were killed by cyanide poisoning in the salt licks... also killing a cape turtle dove, a sand grouse and a vulture. Stop the madness! We should immediatly set up a 1-800 fund them account so they can spend it all on investigating people and making sure the animals are well cared for... Not like there are disease and famine running through the children there...
  6. Usually this time of year during the morning I'd do like the above post says and throw buzzbaits and bladed jigs around and behind docks. Make sure you fish the cables and walk ways. As the sun gets high I'd be fishing a football jig, big worm, or beaver bait on a rocker head probing brush piles in the 15-20 FOW range. Keep your eyes peeled for "fishing docks". Most people fish the brush that is right under the dock, but I've had best luck and caught my most of my biggest fish on the brush piles that most people are trolling over to fish the docks, ie; 10-20 yards in front of the dock. I'm sure you could do some damage with cranks as well, but I don't touch them. lol.
  7. Got some decent fish from a local city lake just walking the bank (as my wife drove beside me in the car giving me the stink eye... She was pouting because one broke her off in the water willows, so obviously that meant "we" were done. ) Snapped a picture of two of them. Pretty average for this lake. They were destroying a frog in the pockets of water in the water willows. Poor guys were cross eyed after the 7' Heavy rod and 65# braid slammed them home...
  8. I remember watching this when it first happened. Freaking hilarious!
  9. I've ran into people like that on LOZ and a private lake I have access to in South East Kansas. Complete tools.
  10. Bluebasser86 Big Head Wobbler!
  11. That's a blast! I've got a farm pond I fish that big cats like that will crush a white mepps
  12. . Totally agree.
  13. Totally agree. Was it ethical? Not at all. Will I lose sleep over it? Not at all. A killed protected lion doesn't affect me in the least and I'm surprised/disappointed at the attention/outrage this is bringing out. We have people buying and selling kids, drugs, etc in our cities, I'm sure we can find better things to focus our efforts on.
  14. If only he knew somewhere to get bladed jigs and jigs!!!
  15. Yah, I get that. I'm asking a question to the person I quoted. I don't see the point it a weighted hook for topwater, and don't know that I've seen a keel weighted hook with out a twist lock, so he has me rather confused.
  16. Occasionally.... To eat, sleep and poop!
  17. I found 4-5 with a simple google search. You could also do the BFL Okie division. If you are more looking for local guys to share knowledge and have little get togethers start a Tulsa OK Area Thread in the central section.
  18. Congrats buddy! Are you prepared to answer the "How did you get that?" question that you are about to be asked 1000 times?
  19. I agree. A lot of pay lakes I've seen try to prevent a lot of that by making you pay by the pound. I laughed my butt of during the video though. I do have to say I'm semi impressed with the owner for not completely losing it... as it seemed the fisherman was just trying to wind him up towards the end.
  20. I have a disabled buddy that hunts with a crossbow. That thing is basically a quiet rifle. Unbelievable how fast and accurate they are.
  21. Stumbled upon this today and found it pretty interesting. What are your thoughts? Seem's if you advertise "no limit", you're obligated to follow through with that. http://www.wideopenspaces.com/kentucky-man-kicked-pay-lake-catching-many-catfish-video/
  22. Are the cost of red hooks seriously high enough to consider fingernail polish painting them?
  23. Well... now I'm sitting here wondering how quick fed-ex can get all that is pictured to NE Kansas.... Dang I'm glad it's lunch time! Double greasy cheesy here I come!
  24. Hahahahahahahahahahaha! That is freaking great!
  25. If you click the reply button on the craigslist ads, that is where you will find the contact info most of the time. There was a name and number in that. OP- Glad the boat worked out for you and I'm sure you'll get many years enjoyment out of it!
