  1. Very interesting article.
  2. Maybe it was a big snake and a big momma was blowing up on it?
  3. Catch sunfish/blue gill, cut it into chunks and toss that out. You couldn't pay me to fish with stink bait/livers/anything that is rotten and vile. Fresh cut bait will catch whatever is in there, and gives you a better shot at the bigger ones.
  4. I'm thinking beaver as well.
  5. Yup, I rig all my grubs like that on swim jigs/bladed jigs. My favorite is a C&C Big Head Wobbler tipped with a rage menace.
  6. I don't think they are even on the same spectrum of techniques.
  7. That is a bullhead, the op post is a channel cat.
  8. I understand wanting to do it yourself. I work in maintenance, lol. I'm always sure to consider my own time when considering to out source.
  9. That seems completely backwards to me! I would think being from Michigan and bass fishing for 15 years you would have a drop shot rigged at all times. Now that you live in Arizona you are picking up a drop shot? Blows my mind!
  10. Step 1) Go to post office Step 2) Box up and send to DVT Step 3) Get reel back quickly and in perfect working condition Step 4) Ask yourself why you didn't do this sooner Step 5) Go fishing. http://delawarevalleytackle.com/services
  11. Newest skeeter I have been on was a 2007 and I hated the ride. Felt like I was on a skipping stone going across the water and I wasn't very impressed how it handled the chop. Simply off of that, if it were my money, I'd go Nitro As far as the motor, I'm a Merc guy. You will always be able to find a good Mercury mechanic. Down where I'm from, taking a yamaha to my boat shop would be like taking a new honda car to my old truck mechanic. Does that mean the Mercury is a better motor than the yamaha? I have no clue, but the ease of finding a mechanic and parts is worth something.
  12. That sucks. I will say that I most always net fish that ate a treble bait. Post the GoPro video!
  13. No way in crap I'm buying a frog that takes a 12-15/0 hook to rig. I also don't think I could bring myself to spend $15 on a 4 pack of plastic frogs. How durable are they?
  14. Don't worry Glenn, look up some fishing bloopers on youtube. All these guys jack up! lol
  15. Don't worry. With more time up front soon that trolling motor will be another appendage operated with muscle memory.
  16. Keep a bladed jig just above the hydrilla. Also, at night, I would for sure be throwing a buzz frog.
  17. That 95% of the time has nothing to do with fishing!
  18. Honestly, unless it is directly impacting me or my family, I'm just gonna shake my head and let it go. People are freaking nuts out there anymore, with ridiculous temper triggers. I'm not getting shot over a fish. I'm a big believer in Karma, so I would let it go.
  19. Man I cracked up when I watched this! This guys partner looks like he doesn't even know what to do with him... lol.
  20. x2 on the salt and mineral licks/protein blocks.
