  1. The Eco Pro Thunder Spins are the highest quality underspin out there. I love them, but I want to cry whenever I hang one up. Sworming Hornet is the go to for price and good quality. They've also helped a few guys win some big checks...
  2. You may want to avoid Abu Garcia rods too then. I own MH Abu rods that are on the XH side of what I'd call heavy. And I can confidently say that all of my Abu rods are more powerful than their listed rating.
  3. Pittsburgh's Chris Boswell was 4/6 from 30-39yds and 5/10 from 40-49yds this year. When 3 of your teams 6 losses were by 3 points or less, those points really add up.
  4. I base my picks on guys who are local(ish) to that body of water, past history on a body of water, and style of fishing that lake may favor to an angler (is it a flipping lake? river system? smallmouth lake? deep cranking?) and try to pick the best that I can. But what do I know? I'm in 68th of the 74 guys here who are playing.
  5. I caught the tail end of the San Diego and San Antonio game on Saturday night on CBS. The players seemed fairly talented. The only scoring I saw was a 38 yard field goal, which is more than what some NFL kickers can hit sometimes. All that being said, I'd be willing to watch it again. I wish they had some more northern based teams.
  6. I'm a firm believer in our lord and savior, Green Pumpkin. And if that doesn't work, his two disciples never let me down (black/blue and watermelon).
  7. What an event. Congrats to Clunn for getting it done. And I'm in the same boat with Combs. He's so inconsistent. He can be top 5 at a lake one event, bottom 20 next time there, and then top 10 again next time there. He burns me every time I pick him. In other news, the Lake Lanier tournament starts on Thursday. So you only have 2.5 days to get your picks submitted for that.
  8. Johnny Crews with a nice bag going. That's surprising for me to see from him in Florida. Good for him. My dark horse pick, Robbie Latuso, with less than 1% of the picks, is sitting in 6th currently.
  9. Here's the problem whenever you want to purchase either the 853 or 854. Once you buy one, you will quickly know that you need the other to compliment it.
  10. Looking at the ownership percentages on the BASS website. Looks like lots of guys are picking off of names they know, and not paying attention to past Florida performances. It should be interesting to see how some of the househould names that stuck around fair out against these fresh faces in these Florida waters.
  11. First tournament kicks off on Thursday and we're up to 55 members! Be sure to get your picks (or roster changes) submitted before Wednesday night.
  12. @shovelmouth83 All the info is in the "Official Thread". Group Name: BassResource Password: BR2019
  13. Why not go with the Magnum Rage Bug? It's bulkier than the Lobster.
  14. The Curado line has had quite a reputation for 20+ years. The B and E series being the biggest standouts. Long story short, yes.
  15. That's certainly odd. I own 4 of these reels have used them heavily since they were released. None of which have given me any issues. That's odd that you've gotten 3 straight duds...
  16. A guy I fish with fills his livewell with them rigged on a 1/4oz Slider jighead. It's literally his go to bait.
  17. There are literally dozens of different species (and colors) of craws out there. You best bet is to try different colors and see what works best on your lakes. Chances are, there are crayfish in your waters of multiple different colors and hues.
  18. I'm sorry to hear that. Losing a best friend must be hard, and losing a fishing buddy had to be even harder. God bless.
  19. That's like an hour of his life that he'll never get back ?
  20. We're up to 36 members playing along. Still plenty of time to get entered before the first tournament. Has anyone seen @Senko lover lately?
  21. Don't discount these guys skills just because they aren't a household name yet. I think by mid year, we're all going to have an eye opening experience whenever we realize that some of these new guys are the real deal.
  22. We're up to 21 members so far. Keep signing up guys and gals! Last year we had over 80 participants.
  23. I pm'd a mod immediately once I made the thread. Hopefully they can fix it for us. First event is in 2 weeks. Do your research and put a team in! Edit - Thank you @J Francho
