  1. The 704S and the Daiwa RG is my fathers Christmas gift, so yeah, he'll love it when we go to Canada in May next year.
  2. 20% off DSG online today and tomorrow.
  3. For me: Dobyns Champion 734C Dobyns Champion 704S Daiwa RG AB spinning reel About $150 in assorted plastics/lures/terminal tackle
  4. I already got mine. A Dobyns Champion 734c.
  5. There's no way to truly say unless you have actually used a road with a bait that is too much for that said rods power. If you want to experience it yourself, I would recommend taking one of your medium powered rods and tying on 1.5-2oz worth of weight onto the end of your line (this may require tying on multiple baits if you don't have a single bait that heavy). Once you do that, wind up like you're about to make a cast. You'll easily be able to tell that the rod is overstressed and that it could likely break after a few repeated casts. As for buying garage job refurbished broken rods... That sounds like something that I would avoid at all costs.
  6. This sounds like a Neko rig presentation to me.
  7. Every aspect. Blank, cork, weight, balance, action, guides.
  8. Step up to the Chronarch MGL. It's such an amazing reel. I had two Met MGL's, and then I bought two of the Chronarchs once they were released. I sold the Metaniums and bought two more Chronarchs. As for the rods, I absolutely love my Expride 7'2" H, so I would certainly recommend the MH one for you if you can swing the coin. If not, I would say go with the Champion 734 or the Zodias. The Champion is a nice step up from the Sierra series. One thing to note, the Expride and Zodias do not have hook keepers on them. If that bothers you, go with the Champion.
  9. All of those are good reels, but I personally find the Curado K to be a step above the rest in your price range. I'm sure many others here would agree with that.
  10. I own both those models, and I absolutely LOVE the Expride!
  11. Punch out and Biffle Bug are great baits. And yes, invest in some swing heads!
  12. In my opinion, the Zodias has much higher quality guides and blanks than the Okuma line.
  13. Get your names in the hat boys. Black Friday deals are coming and it makes for easy shopping for your secret Santa fishing buddy.
  14. I have one of the Netbait football jigs and it seems like decent quality. However, I buy 90% of my jigs from Seibert Jigs. Super high quality, countless color and weight options, great prices, American made, and a site sponsor.
  15. Whelp, the Leveon Bell saga is over in Pittsburgh...
  16. About time for the northerner's to start all the typical winter time threads that come up...
  17. Interesting. Oddly enough, they still show their rainwear in a ton of their branding photo's all around the website. I hope they didn't discontinue making rainwear, because I have a suit from there's and if I'm unable to get a replacement in the event of something happening to mine, I'm going to be ticked...
  18. I get their email newsletter and they always have a different item on the "Deal of the Day". They had two pieces of raingear on there last week for a pretty decent price. As far as being discontinued, I don't know.
  19. You need to elaborate ??
  20. Who all do we have signed up Deak?
  21. If you can do this pattern on some other baits, I'd love to send you a few.
  22. I won't comment on my inventory, for fear that my wife may someday see this post.
  23. Quit telling everyone about the top secrets crankbaits that us crankbait guys are using Next thing you know, everyone will be buying up all the old Risto Raps and Wiggle Warts.
  24. Interestingly enough, they don't even offer a stickbait style worm.
