My Sexy Shad Swim Jig
Looks great Mumpy14, only constructive criticism I would give is would it be better to have the blue on the top of the jig head to mimic a "blue back" look I think you may have been going for... Just my 2 cents, otherwise great looking jig.

So I will admit here that I picked up a 2oz bottle of Pro-Tec powder paint brought my jig pouring gear over a friends house to pour some jigs together. Well left all my gear in my truck, it was 90*F here on Tuesday, now my powder paint is more like a paper weight paint got so hot it solidified in the bottle. Oh well new bottle of paint here I come.

Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Hey all, I don't mean to hijack the thread just want you all to know that the state of NH has a bill in front of the lawmakers to further restrict the use of lead in all NH's freshwater. You can read more about it in my post in this sub forum named "NH Fisherman unite". I hope you can take some time and read up on it and voice your concerns to the powers that be.

Nh Fisherman Unite!!!
Hey Guys, Let's not make this political, I just want people to be aware of what is happening, I also want to give people an option to attend or email those making these very important decisions. I thought you would like to know that the powers that be are trying to restrict the use of lead further form the existing laws. With the NH Senate Bill 224 will restrict the size of jigs from 1" along the longest axis to 2.5". Which would then make most of the jigs we use for bass fishing illegal. Make sure to contact all of your representatives and members on the House of Representatives Fish and Game Committee. This is how the bill reads on the NH Goverment website here is the link here. I ask all fisherman in NH to attend the Legislative Session Tuesday, April 24, 1pm House Fish & Game & Marine Resources, LOB 305-307, SB 224, relative to lead fishing sinkers and jigs. Voice your concerns over this new ban. If you can't attend please email the 18 members of the House of Representatives Fish and Game Committee. You can reach all 18 members of the committee using the following email address HouseFishandGameAndMarineResources@leg.state.nh.us. I hope we can rationally talk about this topic and not get this thread locked down as it is very important.

Tim Tebow Is A New York Jet!
They had no Brady for 99% of the entire season but still went 11-5, should have been plenty enough to squeak in on a wildcard spot most seasons, however they held no tie breakers and sat on the sidelines at the start of the playoffs with an 11-5 record.

Plans For Fluidized Bed
Hey guys getting into pouring my own jigs I know it has been discussed around here, so I was wondering if I could get my hands on some of those plans to build your own fluidized bed out of PVC parts, or either point me in the right direction on where to find them. I appreciate it, thanks again.

Hey all, First day out on the lake. Seven bass in 7 hrs was a real slow day with those bluebird skies overhead. I caught the majority on fast moving baits like Suspending Jerkbait, Spinnerbait, Rattletrap. I did catch one slow crawling/dead sticking some soft plastic. I did find this guy after I caught a bass he was spit up was cool so I took a picture of the NH alewife in the pond. This is basically what we were trying to match. Good luck and tight lines all.

Job Creation And Economic Recovery
My thoughts go in a 180* direction, lets develop a serious alternative energy. We can all agree that there is only a finite amount of fossil fuels left, eventually we will have to make a switch. I think I heard that some countries in fact have started to switch Brazil I think switched over to a sugar cane bio fuel, and Iceland has a modest hydrogen power. I mean even if we tap into the vast natural gas which would be from this country and use CNG powered cars. I dont think you can buy a CNG powered car anymore. It seems backwards, to me that what they are pushing is the hybrids which still use gasoline and oil. Like others I am by far an expert, I am an expert that it hurts to put gas in my truck and there will be shorter trips for fishing this summer for sure.

Traveling And Fishing
So I just wanted to get some feedback, before I look onto the TSA's website. I shipped my rods and tackle for a fishing vacation today, however I forgot to pack some miscellanious plastics baits and a crankbait or two. My question is this what are the odds of these items being allowed onto the plane in carryon luggage? Thanks again for any and all help. Here is the write up from the TSA's website.

Ceramic Eyelet
I was getting rods ready to ship down to South Carolina for a small fishing trip. I came across one of my older AllStar tube spinning rods had one of the ceramic inserts missing out of one of the guides. So my question to the rod builders is this. Is this repairable? What is the general process of getting this fixed? Thanks in advance for any help and insight on this.

Too Much To Fast
I have always been told that a good general rule is 1-2lbs per week is a good weight loss rate, anything more you could start to have some advere effects on your body. That is a general rule everyone is different, so what is good for some maybe be bad for others. Just remember to drink lots of water that will help allot more than you know, 6-8 8oz glasses of water a day.

Massachusetts Goes Lead Free Jan 1, 2012
Well I was at the Outdoor Show at the DCU Center, just recently. I saw the booth there for the Mass Dept F&G. Here is a quote straight from the Mass F&G site. I would say that the use of spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and lead jigs over 1oz are still allowed, anything smaller you are not allowed to use. The tackle shops are in fact still allowed to sell lead jigs and sinkers deemed to be illegal by this law. I feel that is a problem if you have an unknowing fisherman purchase lead at the local store and get fined for illegal lures, that doesnt sit to well with me personally. I hope this clears up some confusion.

Worcester Sportsmen Show
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with the size of the show. I mean I don't know if its a case of there are not allot of vendors to fill the convention center side of the space, because of the economic times. That they put the boats over on the other side to fill up the gaps. I missed the "hawg trough" and the demonstrations that would be there too. I think if the show is cut in half like it was, they should have really considered cutting the price. I mean you show up pay the same amount as last year and then you get half of the show that you saw last year.

I will be there, Friday the 10th. Looking forward to seeing some fishing demos and new products and just talking fishing...

Pouring Jigs
Now I have recently picked up some molds nd would like to start pouring. I can find lots of posts and info on the tips and tricks on how to start as I have never poured jigs before hand. My real issue is concerning the new lead ban in Ma., and the rumored expansion of the lead ban in NH. My question to the jig pourers out on the board is this. Has anyone started pouring non-lead jig heads? If so what type of metal are you using? What are the charateristics? Tips for a beginer getting into pouring non-lead jigs? Any and all inof on this would be great.
