  1. @gimruis My fault for getting off topic, not T-Billy’s. @T-Billy Agreed.
  2. Don’t envy you all one bit but you’re prepared for it a bit better for the most part. Certainly more than 4 plows for all of Minneapolis (or whatever it was for Atlanta - that was just hilarious to me). Been up to Ely many times & we asked one of the outfitters where they got all their block ice. He told us they cut it out of the lakes with chainsaws. Asked how they got trucks out to islands for trailering their flat bottoms across into CA & he told us they drove them across the ice. We had no clue but certainly do now. So far this year, we’ve gotten flurries & maybe a dusting that lightly covered rooftops but was gone by afternoon. Won’t hurt my feelings one bit if I don’t have to touch a snow shovel but I probably just jinxed myself by even thinking it.🤣 @T-Billy Not a musky fisherman at all but curious if you’re getting those in lakes or rivers or both. Can’t speak for northern IN but all musky in central & southern IN are stocked, that I’m aware.
  3. @Catt Where was the part about drinking beer? I must have missed it.🤣 Try to fish my strengths but at times the fish are more strong-willed in regards to their lack of desire to open their mouths.
  4. Just be happy you don’t live in Atlanta. Snowmageddon 2014, less than 3" of snow brought the city to a standstill. They had something like 4 snowplows total. https://www.11alive.com/article/news/history/atlanta-snowmageddon-2014-anniversary/85-bcf15186-4d02-4a47-8025-5a2cc1f3fdac Is that a cry for help or just letting someone know you’ll be lying passed out face down in the snow soon, with no crappie & will need a ride home before dark, if possible? 🤣🤣

C’mon guys - I’m just healing up from the Black Friday attacks from you know who….. Nice fish though, all of you!
  6. All of the above but especially those head shakes before you see ‘em - then you know…..
  7. @ol'crickety 👆What they said & also deal with hellacious mosquitoes, I’d imagine.
  8. Same here - or any lake that has been known for trophy fish, different things that have been done, etc.
  9. @MiceNReets I’m not an attorney but I read that to mean AFTER they drop it off, you’re not holding either party responsible for damages or theft. Porch thieves are rampant this time of year, unfortunately. Ironic about it rolling away after being delivered though. Had that been me, it would have rolled all the way into the street right as a fleet of school buses were rolling through & every last one of them would have ran over it!
  10. I’m in need of a new tackle bag. Some storage pockets are past the point of no return - hemostats & needle nose pliers have fallen out more than once. I just hope & pray I don’t end up with a new bag FULL of new baits. 🫨 Gun monkey 🤣
  11. Try as you may, you know who always seems find the kink in our armor.
  12. Ooof that hurts in a take your breath away sort of way. I feel the pain. 2 kids birthdays & Christmas within 35 days, including child support for a while.😣
  13. Yeah, saw that last night - wasn’t thinking. Idiot alert. Fishing on the brain, man.
  14. My response is in hopes of helping you the most in the long run, based on my experience. I feel you learn very little by being told how to spend your money. I am by no means a guru at this. With that said, I would recommend you do the research & figure out the answer above on your own. More questions to which only you can answer may come up as you’re narrowing it down, if only considering between the 2 that were discussed yesterday. Some things to consider/ask yourself: Where will the unit be used the most (home waters or extended fishing trips)? What specific unit and/or mapping features will you be using the most given what species you target & how you fish for them? Check compatibility. Make sure the specific card works with your specific unit. Some of the newer LM cards/features aren’t compatible with older generation units (G1, G2, G3, etc.). Double check the coverage area to make sure your primary waters are included (LM provides listings under each card detail page on their website). Those are pretty basic questions that you should be able to answer. If you cannot, then you may find you’re in over your head very quickly or spending money for things you don’t really need. You need to read carefully. If you don’t understand something, like Autochart Live, SmartStrike, Relief Shading, etc. & if needed, come back & ask specific questions. I promise you won’t regret learning this stuff if you plan to use your unit to its potential. Remember, you can take information from mapping, sonar, down/side imaging to help paint a more complete picture of what may be going on underwater & that should help you decide where & possibly how to fish. Look at Lakemaster first. It has the most to offer with HBird units. Know what features do what with LM. If you just need a map to show depth & for navigation, look at Navionics.
  15. That one & Morra’s "Playoffs? Playoffs?" presser back when Manning was a rookie with the Colts. 🤣
  16. Good lord I couldn’t imagine what I’d look like being around fish like that all year.
  17. 20% off at FishUSA code: CAST
  18. Awesome. (Fields’ completion) @Mike L @Eric 26 I feel for you guys. Tough to watch your team go through stuff like this. Just watch an IU football game for comfort.
  19. Oh, this is awful.
  20. I’ve been giving this some serious thought & I believe I’ve figured it out using the formula below: Ohio State QB = NFL QB fail.
  21. All of the highlights from the first half:
  22. @Susky River Rat Truth be told, any bass on topwater is a blast. Smallmouth, though, hold a special place in my heart. Threw pretty much nothing other than Rapala X-Rap Props at bedding smallies last June on Rainy Lake & they did not like that one bit. Vicious strikes.
  23. Been some real stinkers on MNF this year.
  24. @Team9nine just spankin’ the specks.
  25. @PaulVE64 in addition to what @Dwight Hottle said above, the topwater bite might be worth checking out as well.
