  1. I looked at the shield and several others including Sig. This one came home too. Feels amazing and the trigger is awesome. Favorite pistol by far. Enjoy and sweet color combo.
  2. Fished a FX for a season. Not sure how it compared to the standard 110 really but it caught a lot of fish and the bill held up fine. Great looking color choice and bait. Good luck!
  3. I would be looking into these if it were me. Shimano expride light plus, St. Croix avid panfish, St. Croix legend walleye light 7', or St. Croix Avid Walleye.
  4. I just ordered a St. Croix Avid Panfish 6-9 ML. If its like the walleye series they are really nice for the money. St. Croix has the best selection of panfish rods in my opinion.
  5. and the SC warranty is transferable. The new LTB rods are nice!
  6. Fish square bills a lot and I actually never grind bottom or deflect them (or rarely do). I fish them shallow near docks or even just crank them in open water. Might not work on every lake but I have had 40 fish days doing it so I know it works. I like smaller cranks in the 1/4 -1/2 oz range and smaller profile. Also the flat sided ones work great in medium depths too. Fish them at different speeds and erratic with a couple twitches here and there and hold on
  7. House brand from a Cabelas, Academy, Gander, Dicks?
  8. I too like longer rods for jerkbait fishing. A 7'-6" will cast a 110 across the lake. Love it .
  9. grubs, 1/2 oz jerkbaits, worms, larger poppers, wacky, cranks, 3" swim baits would all be in that rods wheelhouse I would think.
  10. Shimano chronarchs are a great reel! The ci4 and the MGL.
  11. I bought the shakeyhead levante recently. Very impressed after unpackaging but haven't hit the water with it yet. I fished the orochi ronin and its a fine rod too but not what you are looking for.
  12. I may have asked this before but does the reel seat bother you or is one real brand better than another with it?
  13. I'm complete joking with ya. You're not wrecking anything for me. I like fishing all the brands and trying new sticks. GLX is a great rod and so are the others.
  14. Take it back TNBank! 😁 I was looking forward to these and like the simple/clean look but not digging the grip on the spinner. Still might try one or two of these. That 7-5 ML looks awesome. Wish they had the NRX foregrip but oh well.
  15. Check out the new Avid Walleye 7-6 ML XF. Awesome rod.
  16. The first ones they produced years back were incredible. They changed them a time or two but man I wish I had all the original models. Such a good bait.
  17. LC Pointer and Rapala x-rap 10 are my favorites when not fishing Megabass.
  18. 852S is a great weightless plastic rod and does other things well but 842S is what you want if you are looking for versatile. 842 does spinners, small cranks, small lipless, drop shot, neds, senko, topwater, you name it. Let others chime in but this has been my experience. I use to own (2) 842S rods because they are that good.
  19. 842S will be your favorite spinner. Buy it! Best all purpose rod GL makes.
  20. I prefect the 842 fast action over 852 extra fast but both of these models are versatile. The 842 can do all the things you mentioned well. The 852 is powerful and better for wacky and weightless plastics. For all-purpose I tend to lean more toward the 842S. The conquest is a hair more powerful than the NRX + in 842S models. Not by much but it is.
  21. 1. jerkbait 2. jerkbait 3. jerkbait 4. senko 5. lipless crank
  22. I've heard some reels work great and others don't. I want to buy a casting model but that has always been on the back of my mind with this series. The spinners are incredible. 842S is awesome.
  23. I actually prefer a side stroke and fish rods in the 6'-10 - 7'-1" length. Cast further and easier to work those baits all day in my opinion. I prefer spinning gear.
  24. revamp the elite without this handle please.
