  1. I picked up a Stradic FL 2500 yesterday to use this weekend smallmouth fishing up in Northern Minnesota. I'm very excited!
  2. 20% off code FALL20 on Omnia Fishing's website right now. They have a pretty good selection and they ship really fast.
  3. Yeah.. wonder why the prices suddenly bumped up. Reeds is a legit store, they are located in Walker MN. I buy some stuff off them now and then at the local sports shows.
  4. link?? Not seeing them..
  5. Same here.. sent one in months ago.
  6. I handled one at the local tackle shop the other day. It's EXACTLY the same thing as the Tatula 100... just heavier.
  7. I wish I had a good metro area fishing report.. I just havn't been out on my local lakes that much. I dipped up to Mille Lacs last weekend for a morning session and found a killer topwater bite over Myr Mar reef while it was slick calm. That was fun. Bone white popper got a lot of action. I do have a trip planned to Little Boy/Woman lake over Labor Day weekend. I'm excited to fish that area for smallies. I've never been there before.
  8. Dropshot comes in handy in these situations, and if it's hard bottom.. the football jig.
  9. I was expecting to see that stupid spider. Well played.
  10. Free $10 to use in store at Gander https://go.ganderoutdoors.com/10off/?utm_source=exacttarget&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=10off_GO
  11. Has anyone actually have their levante break?
  12. I asked a buddy who works at a local tackle shop that sells MB and he said this is actually 100% legit.
  13. I'll pick one up for kicks.
  14. I'm heading to Vermillion Thurs-Sunday to chase smallies (and walleye). Can't wait! I love me some rocky, tanic lakes.
  15. Plano is going to sell a TON of these things. I think people who want 'higher end' accessories and organizational items is a really under served market.
  16. I think Bass Mafia's success has shown that there's a market for 'higher end' tackle boxes. Plano clearly is responding. I do want to check these things out in person. They look interesting.
  17. 99$ on sale https://m.dickssportinggoods.com/p/lews-mach-ii-speed-spool-baitcast-combo-16lewamch7ftmhbcccom/16lewamch7ftmhbcccom?clickid=wtHUxgVM3TIG2V%3AQluwulSVwUklWaGUNLwamXA0&irgwc=1&camp=AFF:mediapartner:BANNER:120x60:10451:320230
  18. About time someone moves the trolling motor game forward. Hats off to Garmin. This thing looks interesting. That being said.. i'm still keeping my utrex. haha.
  19. It's my favorite Neko bait
  20. Cabela's has the Lew's Hyper Mag for 225 right now https://www.cabelas.com/product/bargain-cave/fishing/reels/pc/105591780/c/105740280/sc/105742980/lews-hyper-mag-spd-spl/2646680.uts?slotId=8
  21. YES! The baby bass chug bug. I've caught more fish on this thing over the years than any other topwater. It's a winner.
  22. I had an eventful week fishing last week. Me and my partner won our Wednesday Night league on White Bear Lake, with a 12lb bag. We won on WBL last year so it was kinda fun to win back-to-back derbys on the same body of water. I really do like that lake as it sets up well for my strength, which is offshore finesse. We got all our big bites drop shotting offshore coontail with a Keitech easy shaker in morning dawn. Fishing straight vertically under the boat. Then on Saturday we hit the east side of Mille Lacs all day. The bite wasn't bad, we boated 19 smallies and probably as many walleyes. Our best 5 went for 18lbs with a 4.89lb kicker that came on a 3" chigger craw and a shakey head. The fish were really shallow on reefs.. we got a lot of bites in 10' or less all day. The best bait was a 3.8" fat keitch followed closely by a ned rig. Each smallie we caught was typically trailed by 3-4 more fish. It was kinda fun.
  23. My advise is to NOT buy a destroyer, because then you'll buy more. I have 4 now.. FMJ, Daemos, Ottomat and I just picked up a Brigand. I also have a Levante gen 2 Perfect Pitch. The fit and finish on the destroyers are PROBABLY the best in bass fishing. I've not held a production rod that's finished nicer than a Destroyer.. the Phenix K2 is close. The balance & the weight is on point for the price point. The major downside is the warranty. The plus side is they really hold their value well. I'm able to get them at 20% off, and used they go for around the same price. So in theory I can use them for a while and punt them along for nearly what I paid.
  24. The zillion is baaaack
