  1. Aren’t roboworms poured by a machine or “robot”?
  2. I mostly use the Nichols 3/4oz spoon. Letting it fall on semi slack line is the key. Too tight and it falls like a rock. Too loose and you will miss the strike. sometimes I lift slow and drop, other times I rip it as hard as I can off the bottom. I will also shake it in place on the bottom. Lots of bass will pick it up from the bottom like a jig. I like a moderate or mod fast rod for spoons. It is hard to explain but I feel like it sling shots to spoon off the bottom in a controlled way. A fast rod seems to pull it too abruptly if that makes sense. Be sure to add a good swivel and a stinger hook to the line tie split ring. 30% of my fish are hooked on the stinger.
  3. Does the blade interfere with hooksets? It looks like it would get stuck it there mouth or pop the mouth open. Interesting design. I’d like to try one.
  4. Are you using a hot glue gun or the glue made for tip replacement? I’ve never used hot glue gun, only the little stick from Fuji that comes it the tip top assortment pack. I have used my knife to peel off a little sliver and put it inside the tip. Heat the tip a little, heat the glue a little and put some on the rod. Give the tiptop and rod a little heat and slide it together. The only tip that I’ve ever had come loose was one that was professionally replaced. Obviously the workmanship was less than “professional “ quality.
  5. Do you have both rods right now? If so what MikeL said is exactly what I would do. Maybe we aren’t understanding what you are asking.
  6. So what hook do you use?
  7. My solution was not go on a boat in the ocean. I hate it but feeling like a dog for 24-48 hours sucks. Never puked but man I felt really awful the last 5-6 times that I went so I quit cold turkey.
  8. I use 3/0 round bend offset. I’m not sure why but my hookset technique or lack thereof doesn’t work with ewg.
  9. Sorry but I didn’t read the uv light link. Can someone explain how or what color lures and line are visible at the 10+ ft range that only uv light penetrates?
  10. Flouro is worth it. I like Sniper but Invisx is ok too. These options are not too unruly but mono is more manageable for sure. I find it unimaginable that someone can’t feel the difference in nylon mono and fluorocarbon. A braid to 6’ leader of flouro vs braid to 6’ leader mono on a spinning rod with 1/4oz drop shot rig is night and day.
  11. I’m a falcon rod guy. That said I never found a Falcon spinning rod that I liked. I had Bucoo all the way to Cara. I bought a shimano Expride 2-3 years ago. I like it but never fell in love with it. I just got a Dobyns sierra 703 spinning this week for my niece. I have only thrown it in the yard but I absolutely love it so far. I will fish it tomorrow and if I like it I’ll sell you a lightly used Expride for the price of another sierra for myself! 😂
  12. I see a sassy stick. Is this the one?
  13. Please tell me that they are not all spooled with big game…..😂
  14. I have not tried all of those reels but I have to ask. Is Shimano overpriced too? 🤔
  15. I’m still reading the original post as you have 6 batteries total. The other posts make me think k you have 5 batteries. Can you clarify how many you have total?
  16. My best comparison of nylon mono vs flouro is with the Carolina rig Good nylon mono on a Carolina rig feels like you are dragging a dish towel on your hook. Good flouro lets you feel the bottom and what your lure is doing so much better. If you can’t feel the difference please continue to use nylon mono.
  17. For those weights and lures I would recommend the Cara Heavy Cover or Swim Jig. I had some older Falcon Amistad rods and they were good for 3/8oz and up.
  18. Zoom, Green Pumpkin Blue & Candy Bug.
  19. Do you have any before and after pictures of how you make them?
  20. 1.2fps with 15lb flouro and a 7” zoom worm. If using mono or a Berkley worm your fall rate will have to be recalculated. 🤣
  21. I like the falcon Cara and Expert line better the gloomis glx rods. So much so that I would trade my glx rods to anyone wanting to get rid of a falcon Cara or Expert. The Falcons rods are light weight , sensitive, well built , durable.
  22. Great video Glenn.
  23. Drill a hole in the worm or the weight? How do you drill it?
