  1. I really like Sunline Sniper. I might give shooter a try this year.
  2. Guys on forums pushing a product often have an agenda too. You have to use your best judgement and decide if they are credible or not.
  3. 1/4oz plus plastic is where I rate that rod. Give it a shot and see if it works.
  4. Go online and check out tips from vendors until you find what you need. Measure your rod tip diameter and guide size. It shouldn’t be any more difficult than posting on a forum to vent your frustration .
  5. I don’t find that unorthodox at all. My rod and reel combinations fit like a glove and I rarely need to reposition my hand for casting or retrieving. I cast left and reel right. Casting or spinning. My rod hand stays in the same position 95% of the time.
  6. I am speaking about stick baits in general and not just the Yamamoto brand. I’m also downing the wacky rig technique. Honestly I typically catch dinks on them wacky rigged and I feel like I’m taking the easy way out on a tough day fishing when using the wacky rig. The senko or stick bait in general are a good lure though.
  7. I do occasionally use a senko for Carolina rigging or a shaky head. In the event that you see me wacky rigging one you can rest assured that I’m not only having a bad day but more than likely I have zeroed for more outings than I care to admit.
  8. Indiana Killer Does anyone remember these?
  9. A good quality sharp knife works best for me.
  10. Lews would really have to up their game for me to excited about anything they offer. I have had many reels and several rods. The reels just don’t hold up well. The rods are hit or miss on sensitivity and action.
  11. I bought 2 WPs and didn’t get a bite all season so I gave them away . I’m sure it gets bites for a million people but it just didn’t work for me. Spooks and PopR are my best topwater options.
  12. Are you saying to fish it quickly and move on to another spot?
  13. It doesn’t surprise me that lews would cheap out. They have been getting cheaper and cheaper for years. Very disappointing.
  14. Even though I use Daiwa reels exclusively I’m not following what spool fits which reels. Can you please expand on this?
  15. The 844 is a very versatile rod for many techniques .
  16. Why not find a rod that he likes and cut the rear grip down to the length he likes? I can’t imagine that it would cost much to have it professionally done.
  17. In my experience decent fish hit it pretty hard and aren’t too hard to catch. It’s the dinks and bluegill that nibble. How are you rigging it? What hook are you using?
  18. For that price I bet you will be fine. I would not have taken that offer though based on the duckett rods I have owned and used.
  19. Dirty Jigs Tour Level Pitchin' Jig this is also a really great jig. it is my current favorite for wood.
  20. Has it changed since it first came out or is it the same line ?
  21. If we are talking main line, being better than red label isn’t exactly a compliment. Red Label is bottom tier in my opinion. Comparing it to inzisx is a more useful comparison.
  22. So are you are buying the package of braid and not using the flouro as a leader? What’s the logic ? Is the braid test good?
  23. BPS is an awful place to shop for fishing related items.
  24. Hold some tension on the spool and make sure the thumb bar has fully reengaged.
