  1. I'm going for my PhD in American History and I'm planning on reading alot of Hemingway b/c he is an author I'm interested in. I've been down to his place in Key West and I've read alot about him as a man. That guy was hardcore.
  2. In regards to financial books, I've read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", "Missed Fortune", and "The Next Great Bubble Boom". I also read Donny Deutsch's "Often Wrong, Never in Doubt".
  3. You were perfectly reasonable. When I have my baby son with me I have NO time for strangers. Do not even think about messing with me. I am hyper-protective around my son.
  4. Good post. I'll download the demo now.
  5. Those things must be addictive because my old roommate would read and reread the series over and over again. I don't read much fiction any more, but when I did I read the Star Wars expanded universe stuff relentlessly.
  6. Horrible imagery you're giving me there Burley.
  7. I'm a Yankees fan and I think A-Rod is A-Tool.
  8. Baseball, like politics, has a love affair with corruption. Those that are aghast with the steroid era and the same ones that marvel at the way Ty Cobb played.
  9. I can't be the only one. What are you reading now, or what are you planning to read? I just finished Judgment of Paris: California vs. France and the Historic 1976 Paris Tasting that Revolutionized Wine and I am working on The Swamp: Everglades, Florida, and the Politics of Paradise.
  10. Outstanding!
  11. Guess the guy was desperate to impress someone.
  12. Nicholas Cage has either been overacting or just taking roles for the money since he won his Oscar. I used to enjoy watching him, now I avoid his films.
  13. I don't know about TX, but I agree with Matt in regard to Florida. I've been shocked by the amount of fishermen keeping their trophy fish here in north Florida. South Florida's fishermen are much more C&R in my opinion, but if you listen to guys like Doug Hannon, the big fish in this state will come from north of Okeechobee. Just recently Olebiker reported on a guide- a guide!- keeping a 14lb fish out of Talquin. If you want to break records, it's bad policy. But if you want to be an idiot and punish the fishery for its success, go ahead.
  14. Nice fish. Glad to see some of the guys shaking off the winter.
  15. He removed the pic. Those fish were dead.
  16. Tallydude is in the building.
  17. It looks pretty pimp, dude.
  18. Beautiful fish! I'd love to catch one that size!
  19. The fish look dead to me. Look at their tails. They're all dried out. Anyone else ever try to symmetrically line up five live fish without them flopping all around?
  20. Radio Margaritaville for me.
  21. No one has dominated a season like Stefan has. He's blowing the doors off of everyone. I'd be shocked if he didn't win at this point. He would have to make a mistake like Sam did in season 2. But I don't think anyone can touch him. Leah has to be the next to go- she annoys me and I can't stand the fact that she quit the Quick Fire challenge in front of Eric Ripert. Carla's better than I thought and I think Fabio will finish second. He's not immune to making flaws, so he could get knocked out before his time. He's definitely winning the fan favorite award. He's had more and better quotes this season than everyone else combined. Now if they could only find a way to introduce monkeyass as an ingredient...
  22. She is a class act and a winner. I have nothing but respect for Coach Summitt. Congrats to her!
  23. Gotta give ya props for getting out in the cold. Nice fish.
  24. Awesome! Now feed the pets and come visit. I'm heading to St. Marks after my test tomorrow.
