Did some canoeing and fishing at Walsingham park yesterday in pinellas fl. Had a great day very interesting lake depth and contour wise. Lots of pads and grass. I struck out but my buddy caught three. It's a nice catch and release reservoir I plan to hit a lot in the spring

I've had excellent luck on the normal yum dinger.durable and great action.

When I was younger we had a fiberglass canoe with one thwart but I wasn't sure for an aluminum canoe since there a lot thinner. I figure worst I can do is try it and if it feels funny put them back in. Thanks for the help

So I recently got a 14 foot michi craft aluminum canoe. But it has three thwarts, and they take up a lot of the center working room. It's a heavy duty canoe built to handle rivers up north. I'm just floating lakes and ponds and canals and such in fl. Would it be okto remove the two outer thwarts and leave the center one installed? The boat seems rigid still.

The lily pads in the big lake are a few feet to the bottom. The canal is hydrilla caves like crazy and absolutes 3-7 foot deep. I'll get pics when I go try. I'm gonna use some gambler craws and angry otters v

We have a lot of hydrilla and lily pads here but depths are around 2-7 feet wasn't sure if that's deep enough to punch

I live right near lake seminole! But have never fiahed it always wanted to tho. Looks like a Great Lake to fish with a lot of depth and pockets I've been on it several times but never fished

I got a canal I fish that's decent size and depth with heavy hydrilla..has anyone successfully punched heavy cover from the bank? Or have any tips on it or rigging?

I've had great luck with fins wind tamer, so far. A local tackle shop sells is. Maybe I will stray away from the idea of fire line thanks for the help guys

Really? I've fiahed power pro, and fins wind tamer braid. I like them a lot. But kept hearing and reading great things about the fire line.
