  1. Bass have no ability to logically process information. Physically, the brain of the bass is missing a lobe that would function for logical thinking. I. Other words, they are a fairly stupid fish. Watch this video. Bob Lusk. Biologist. Some interesting facts. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-fish-biology.html
  2. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2015/08/13/refinery-issue-causes-jump-midwest-gas-prices/31663877/
  3. Rifinery issue in the area. Hitting IL. Also.
  4. There are reasons there are max hp on boats. It is not just the weight of the motor.
  5. What was the down payment amount. Usually a new boat loan requires 10 to 20 percent down. So for a boat that costs $20,000 that would be 2000 to 4000 down. If you have that then I would definitely go new and get the warranty. Also going new you can get options you really want and not settle for what is availible. Good post Lund Explorer.
  6. I bet I can tie the knot I use faster and I never have a knot breaking issue.
  7. What exactly is a uneducated fish? A bass has a memory span of about 20 minutes and no ability to logically think.
  8. Monday night. Total 11 bass averaging 1.5 lbs in 3 hours. Sure was muggy and mosquitos came out in force.
  9. What reel are you casting with? Bait caster or spinning. Braid has a smaller diameter and will dig into itself on a bait caster and not be able to cast. I would go nothing smaller than 30 lb on a baitcaster. I believe that 30 lb braid us equivalent to 10 lb mono diameter size.
  10. Kind of like the Daiwa Zillion and Tatula being practically the same reel. Companies build a platform and then build several models on that platform. Saves cost in manufacturing.
  11. Ever have one of those evenings that fish after fish is a half way to the boat and then it gets off. Ugh. But at least still had a good evening.
  12. Been averaging around the 2 lb mark and 25 inch northerns. Last couple of trips the bass seem to be getting smaller.
  13. Last week I totaled 50 plus fish. Not taking the time to take pictures so I can get my line back in the water for more fish
  14. You do not have to send the whole reel in. 1 screw holds the twing on. Maybe try to talk to daiwa and ask for a 2 way replacement if just the part.
  15. Jerkbait still hot tonight.
  16. Decent catch 2 days in a row. 17 catches. 3 pikes and 14 bass. Jig, frog and jerkbait bait. Wonder how it will be this weekend with the cold front in today.
  17. To miss that many it might have been a smaller bass that has eyes bigger than its mouth and stomach.
  18. Amen to that. See it every weekend where I live. Another accident on the water that could have been avoided. In IL. It is now a dui driving a boat just like a car while under the influence.
  19. And what is wrong with a tracker?
  20. Frog bite went crazy last night.
  21. Can someone tell me when I am looking at the Eye's on the rod which guide do i put the line through, the left one or the right one?
  22. Oil on the brake run. Have same reel with the same issue and when you use the qtip and clean the brake run first then oil, problem solved. This instruction comes with the reel on a yellow piece of paper in the box.
  23. Jig city. Looks perfect
