Revo S or Citica for jigs?
Mike, http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1205615170 Try that link it has directions to an Ebay store for discounted Revo S's. I like the exterior brake for soft plastic and jigs rods, t-rigs, etc. because it seems as though the weights differ more often on those rigs than on my spinnerbait combos. As far as feel I could not tell you which is which(between the S, SC, and SX). I have also had zero problems with them other than one I bought used, knew it had an issue, and Reelmech got it straightened out. Either way they are great reels for the price and they really come in handy when you want to button down the drag to haul some fish out of some cover, slop, etc.

Revo S or Citica for jigs?
No the S has an internal centrifugal brake, same as the Citica. The SC has an exterior brake. I think they both would be a decent choice I am just partial to the Abu Garcia that fits my hands and style perfectly.

fishing DURING ice out
I would say the fish tend to move to areas where the ice is out as that is the warmer/warming water. Another couple days and we will be in ice out in southern Iowa and I know that I will definitely be out on the water.

My Resume - Please comment
Great looking resume, but turn your tourney finishes around. Start with the most recent ending with your first tournament finishes. When I apply to an employer they do not want to see what I did 4 years ago but more so what I did last year.

Want Sponsors?
No offense to those seeking sponsors or pro-staffs, but after a nice talk with 4bizz we both agreed that if you fish, and do it well, whether it be on a professional or recreational type, sponsors will find you. Too many people are looking for the easy way out and to fame and fortune.

Selling house by owner. . . need feedback.
;D ya got that right ;D seen today on tv " special public announcement on foreclosed properties" "we have a bunch" : Well I got an email from 15 different lenders today stating that FNMA My Community and Flex products were now going to be limited to 97%. Times are getting tough and restrictions are tightening.

Revo S
Magnetic vs. centrifugal... :-X OK, But why do they make it so you have to take the cover off to adjust it? That's what I'm asking. :-? Mike How else would you move the collars? :-? Burley, The best way it was describe to me was: Do you unzip your pants before taking a leak??? Maybe that will help him :

Selling house by owner. . . need feedback.
Like said before it is entirely based on the market and neighborhood you live in. My dad lives in a cookie cutter, but very nice sub division that gets alot of notice and has alot of turnover. He bought his house FSBO about 2 years ago and got a pretty good deal( I know, I did the financing). Within the first year of him living there, 2 neighbors both sold their houses(same floor plan) and one went through a realtor and the other FSBO. The FSBO home sold for $1500 less(on 175K homes) and sold 3 months sooner. The same people had toured the other home and had no desire to hire a realtor or deal with one. The other neighbors held their home longer and also lost out an additional 6% that was split between the selling and buying agent. Regardless of what you read the market is tough now, but not as bad as you hear on TV(in most areas). If you have a good FSBO website or network in your area and live in a good neighborhood, with good turnover, I would always try to seel the house FSBO for a few months before ever hiring a realtor. My girlfriend is looking for a home right now and she is solely looking at FSBO homes as it is easier to get a better price as someone would rather give 3-4% in purchase price than have to go hire a realtor and pay 6%. JMO but if you are in a decent market I would try and save a few $ and go FSBO. If that does not work hire an agent. Another tip, which hit my emails today, dont count on anyone providing 100% financing, seems as those days are soon to be gone. Corey

Bottom Comp's...
Yup same up here, it must be a north vs south thing. Most of the craws can be found in areas with rocks. A little off topic but do you guys down south ever see bass spawning on very muddy flats? In a few lakes up here bass will spawn in a swamp-like portion of the lake where you can go up to your middle thigh with mud (long story how we found that out) and it appears to be where most of the largies in these lakes spawn. Rumor has it they spawn there because the mud does something for their eggs. :-/ They are going to use the "best" real estate possible. Some small ponds, etc, are only a featureless mud bowl, maybe some leaves. If that's all they have, that's what they use. If they have the option of some of that beautiful, golden, pea gravel at Lake X, surely they would opt for it but you gotta make due with what you got. Like the 3 little pigs houses. If you have brick, you use brick, if not, you use wood, if not, you use straw,...they are all still houses but one is preferable over the other. (I'm having pork for dinner,....got Barb-B-Que on the brain.... ;D ) Hey there, leave our Lake X's, small ponds, and featureless bowls alone In the small bodies I fish they seem to spawn in anything close to cover or structure. If that is not an option, it tends to be the warmer waters where the sun is hitting at its peak. My 2 best sight fishing, spawning fish came off a stump, and a small lay down with the fish on the Northwest side of it.

Revo S
While Abus customer service will probably take care of you, if you cannot get the issue resolved, send it to reelmech. Chances are he can get the necessary parts and have him clean and lube it while it is there. When it comes back, well as RW says it feels like something in your hands. That reel feels better than any of my other higher end reels, hands down. Thanks Dave!

Zoom ultravibe speed craw
I use them for alot of presentations but my most used one is throw it texas rigged, with an 1/8 oz bullet sinker, and bring it off the edge of vegetation and then kill it. I have caught alot of fish that blew up through vegetation to get to it and alot after dropping it outside the vegetation also. One of my most versatile baits.

Wide Gap vs regular worm hooks
I use all kind of hooks, some Tru-turn hooks, Gammy EWG, Owner frog hooks, Owner 7/0 Oversize work hooks. To me it depends on what is on sale and what kind of bait is going on the hook. The majority of the time I use an EWG of some sort.

Let's Talk Advantage's/Disadvantage's ...
I fish mostly stained or muddy water and use braid almost exclusively. That said I had quite a few nice fish last year that I lost on traps, and I would bet that I was pulling the hook out of their mouth. On my one spinning setup I have Yozuri Ultra Soft and really like it for spinning tackle but did not like it for baitcasting gear. This year however I did buy some non braided lines for crankbaits and swimbaits to hopefully lose less fish than before wit braid. For me if I am not fishing a treble hook lure and it is dirty water I will still fish power pro.

When Times are Tough
Depends on the time of the year. Early in the year it would be a jig or a creature type bait on a shakey head. In the summer I would say a 10 inch worm texas rigged and fished slow. Either way when the fish slow down so do I.

How much do you think this one weighed?
5.5- 6 lbs. Nice fish but it is hard to tell without measurements.

When you see a roadsign like this - drive carefully.
I remember seeing one out driving through the Superstitious Mountains in Arizona with an elk that was similar, the elk looked mad! Falling rocks, elk, fog, and mountains make for a stressful drive.
