  1. Which technique do you use the most? Go with that set up. Then get the other set up when the boss lets you. LOL
  2. Go with the Shock. I taught my son one technique at a time. He would learn a new technique when he understood and was confident.
  3. I bought the combo. The reel is not great but a good learning reel. The rod is great. I still use it for cranks and t-rig. I paired it with a black Max. Never leave home without it. Mark, keep the rod but upgrade the reel.
  4. Dude, really? "mature" and "valued member of society" It was a joke but you had to take it to another level. Last, how intelligent are you? everyone knows that backing fixes that problem Glenn, sorry for getting a little upset, it will not happen again.
  5. LOL, relax dude. It was a joke. But, if you must, put me at the top. Dude, we are on the block list now. You are #2 and I'm #1.
  6. Nice catch and he's hooked. But dude, find him a better jacket. little man is fishing with football pads on. LOL
  7. Go get a Abu Garcia Black Max combo. Learn with a very good but cheap combo. If you decide that baitcasting is not for you, it was cheap and you can have it there just in case. Don't get caught up with brands, what the pros use or what friends have. Get what you can and as a college kid, books are more important.
  8. Go with the Shock.
  9. Sit on top, slide trax, trunk for the junk (crate), scupper holes, handles and a comfy seat. I would keep it simple and light.
  10. I own an emotion and they are good boats. I went to Wally's and bought a chest float pad and use it as a seat. Emotion has seats. Highly recommend it. Have fun and enjoy.
  11. Five months of snow is worse. You can't fish for 5 months and you have to talk/listen to your wife for 5 months. LOL
  12. Here in Cali, man made and natural, sorry for getting a little political. But, it makes us angry. We are lucky to have our cement canals. They are always producing. Our lakes are low and might get low again. I fish plastics for most part. One positive note, when lakes and pond drop, go out and take pics of the lake. I have found great little spots and details on structures.
  13. Great bait for flipping and pitching. Killed it during the spawn with the baby d bomb.
  14. Zip offs, under armour long sleeve shirt or removal sleeves, big bucket hat and buff. But, spray on sun block before.
  15. I would not change. Take notes and use it every year.
  16. That's why I like putting stickers on my kayak. Are any available?
  17. Seis tacos al pastor con todo, por favor!!!!!
  18. Prayers for the families.
  19. Transporting is your biggest issue. Other than that; life jacket, paddle, sun block, hummingbird is a great idea and just enjoy it. You will find ways to mod your canoe to fit you and that is fun too.
  20. The question should be: why haven't I been using senkos in a pond? LOL
  21. Does the pond have cattails, any veg? If so, pitch or flip a creature bait like a d bomb or brush hog. How deep are the ponds?
  22. I laugh at the kids teaching seminars and grown men sitting there. The one kid named Brendan is hilarious.
  23. Buy or use a red LED light. Eyes don't need to adjust. I like a buzzbait at night. Worms for sure.
