I just purchased the Piscifun Rapid. The price was 39.99 and the reel is an aluminum frame reel. Most or all reels at this price are made of plastic/carbon fiber. Abu Garcia Black Max is a great reel for the same price. Kast King is the new and hottest kid on the block but plastic frame. Do some research and get the right reel for you.

No surprise to me. Alabama vs Washington and Clemson vs Ohio state Usc vs Penn state will be a Rose bowl game. How does Florida state get the bowl and not Oklahoma vs Michigan?

I'm hearing these pointless debates all over ESPN and Fox Sports. here is my beef with the college playoffs, a conference winner is not guaranteed a spot. Michigan or Ohio State can get in, how? they are not the best in their conference so how are they the best in the country? Only conference winners should be considered. What say you? I rather see an undefeated West Michigan team get in before a team that is not a conference winner.

We have some cement canals in Cali that have some nice bass in them. The old school split shot rig for me. I also use them for drop shot. I use this worm a lot and they work great. You have to devote time to master how great they are.

Dude, go sit and mess with the Perception Pescador at Dick's Sporting Goods. Great kayak that comes in 10 and 12 foot. They are a great starter kayaks and might even be the only one you buy, that's how good they are. I have a WS Tarpon which is the model the Pescador is modeled after. No need to move up unless you want to spend money. The pescador will be good for lakes and rivers and hits that price point.

Shimano Curado is all you need. I have a Diawa reel and it's a great reel. So, go with either but stay away from Lews. LOL

1. PFD, paddle, Leatherman, phone and water 2. Texas rig worm and creature bait, swimbaits, we can go in close so flipping is easy on a kayak, pitching is a little tougher. I can't stand on my kayak so flipping into cover is what I do. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and almost anything can be thrown but it takes practice. I don't use an anchor unless I know it's going to be a windy day. I move a lot/ hunting to fish. I have the Garmin 100. It's the bottom of the models because I only need it for temp and depth. My yak is all I use and love it. Ponds and reseviors in Cali and for me, bass is #1 but I will not discriminate. LOL

Same thing here in Cali, never too cold to go fishing. So, I wear long sleeve shirt, water shoes, take a towel and polyester pants that dry quickly. I might wear gloves with the finger tips cut off.

The aqueduct does great year round. the Bakersfield and north guys are pulling out 10+ cats and some big stripers. the duct is something special.

I fish a pressured pond but, I've yet to see another kayaker or small boat guy on the pond. so, I could be the only one on the water and hitting spots that the shore guys can't get to. so, are you on the water or on the shore? I've seen that smaller lures work good. so downsize.

Buy the curado. for me, it's my high end reel and I would not buy anything more expensive. curado is better than many expensive reels. my 2 cents
