  1. Thanks T Boy. Appreciate ya. Looks pretty good. How accurate are the roadbeds and creek channels? My Navionics maps are about 200 feet off is the reason I ask. Thanks again.
  2. Hey, anybody in here got that Humminbird Fishsmart app? Does it really offer Lakemaster maps? It’s 30 bucks for The Bend and I can’t take that chance unless y’all Humminbird people say it’s worth it.
  3. Don’t they have one in Zwolle? I think Keith’s does it and maybe one in Hemphill. All I know. Good luck.
  4. On an unrelated fishing note, how’s that new Dodge Catt? They sure look good to me.
  5. Today was kinda slow for me. Caught 4 lil ones early this morning on a frog and baby brushhog. Stayed shallow in the shade until 10:30 with no more bites. Backed off and fished the outside edge of the grass in 10-12 and caught one on a Red bug trick worm. Headed for deeper water and checked a 15' hump surrounded by deeper water. Looked loaded on the graph. Caught one on a drop shot and tried everything else I had. One thing... nothing. Went back shallow in Sandy for three hours before I caught another on a frog. Couldn't stand anymore. Drug up.
  6. I tried 3 colors of ribbets including that one. One blow up in six hours was all. They usually like them around here too but not for me today. Hollow body only. Well, one on a buzz bait with a toad.
  7. Ya, with this "lovely" weather, I decided not to go all the way to Rayburn today. So, I stayed around Six Mile and Sandy and caught 9 on a frog instead. Enjoyed it.
  8. They're born on a hard bottom so I'm sure they're smarter than most humans and go with what works to survive ?
  9. It's always the first trees out off the bank so the poor bank fisherman will need a pirogue or something. Sorry, just reporting the truth.
  10. Yes Sir, I'm almost certain it helps me when very shallow.
  11. Sounds like you really don't need all that extra pinging noise. I turn mine off when they're shallow anyway. Good luck.
  12. I totally agree with that but I also think the higher water is better for the spawn and was thinking they could have waited until May.
  13. I hate to even comment on water levels but it seems like they could wait a month!
  14. I'm not sure if my previous answer to your question even posted. Such bad internet. I'm almost positive that it's Wideon Grass. Fish get in it but it will bog a trolling motor down worse than any grass I have ever seen. Also, it is difficult to fish down in it cause it's so stringy. In other words, it's a frog over it or nothing for me. Hope that helps and good luck.
  15. Looks like Widgeon Grass to me, Skeeterz.
  16. That's awesome! I need to borrow one of them horse shoes you got!
  17. My camper is on Six Mile at Toledo. Now that the landings are open again, you have many choices. I usually go to Five Fingers, San Augustine, Mill Creek, Caney, and the one on the side of the road in Ayish. Plenty more options. I'm pretty sure they're all good.
  18. When you say stickbaits I assume Senko type baits. Custom? Who sells 9 and 11" stickbaits?
  19. Looks like a big no comment and I can't say I blame him ?
  20. I think he turned it loose after weighing at Fin and Feathers and should have the new record. If so, congrats again!
  21. Big spot. Congrats!
  22. Here is a list. Courtesy of Outlaw Outdoors.
  23. My poor Uncle has been fishing Six Mile and Housen for two days. Last I heard, not one bite! ? He said he fished from 1 to 30 feet. Also, he talked to some people from Arkansas that fished three days without a bite so it must be tough right now.
