  1. I meant I wasn't sure how to answer his question. I'm still struggling in the depths. Any advice on the spots we showed?
  2. I'm not sure but here is a point and or hump that's 24' deep in the mouth of Housen.
  3. Red, I think I heard or read that the red lips mean the bass are feeding heavily on crawfish.
  4. Matrix is correct. I came to fish but ended up just changing bearings and working on the boat and all. Sorry, no report.
  5. Yes Sir ? It's the split in the duck season though so I'm headed there this weekend or next week after I catch up on work. Can't wait... let it snow let it snow... however that song goes.
  6. Caught 4. Terrible day. Back to hunting for me.
  7. Finally made it to Hurricane. It looks good but I couldn't figure anything out from daylight to 1:30. Headed somewhere else till dark.
  8. It's not blue but I couldn't do it today. Hopefully, tomorrow.
  9. It's cold, blue, and an East wind for my two days here and I couldn't care less. Just glad to be back. Full, hopefully, good report tomorrow.
  10. Good luck bud. I didn't forget you either with the details on importing the trails. Just still trying to kill two years worth of squirrels and hogs lol.
  11. Yep. 168. Not saying you couldn't catch some now but I prefer it at 170 or more cause I like visible above water targets and most of those may be high and dry. I bet the creek channels would still be good ?
  12. I can't help you on San Miguel cause I don't know it at all but I love the 1215 area just north of it when the water is at 170 or higher.
  13. It is awesome. Way more accurate and detailed. Shows every twist and turn as opposed to the general location which may be off up to 200 feet.
  14. You can import the aforementioned creek channels you trace in google earth into your units as trails is all I was saying. Very helpful.
  15. When I say channels I mean the ones I traced off of google earth on a low water year. The ones on navionics are only right sometimes.
  16. I like big flats with creeks, ditches, and or drains running thru them. Still trying to learn how to find them anywhere else. Spent three years trying the points/humps with sharp breaks with minimal success. I'm probably doing it wrong or not on the right ones though.
  17. Welcome Amateur Hour and good luck. Fly, don't get discouraged. It takes a while to find areas that hold fish in that huge place. Believe me, that's the key. The right areas. Not the baits, not the depth, not the line etc. You can catch them anyway you want once you find them. Good luck.
  18. I went check the back of Sandy. More grass but no Lilly pads like last fall. Caught 11 bass and one sac a lait. Most very shallow in the grass on a buzz bait. A few on a spook. No size at all. Water was 79 to 80 degrees. Got two calls for jobs so this will be the shortest trip in history. Good luck to all.
  19. No. I can't afford the out of state license right now. Sad times.
  20. I like you but you make me sick lol Nice job!
  21. Shane, that's highly discouraging but much appreciated. I just showed up, about a week late, charging all my dead sh...stuff. Will give a shallow report tomorrow. Ain't got time to re-rig for the depths.
  22. Glad you're back. Hopefully, I'll make a trip next week and will give a report.
  23. I'm going next week. Can't wait. Hadn't been since the end of July. About to kill me even though I've been fishing and hunting other places.
