  1. Sorry, but I'm glad I'm missing this round of high muddy. As far as Navionics expiring, mine's been expired and never lost it so I don't understand that. Lost the updates and the aerial of the land but to me that's not worth the yearly cost. Good luck out there!
  2. Beaux, I know exactly where you are talking about. That was my first choice the first time I went to Housen, as well. Seemed like it should have been good but it was rough on me. That and the endless humanity in the same place. Maybe that's the reason?
  3. Marshfly, you can park your boat right behind your tent at this water level. Good luck wherever you go.
  4. You can check out Willow Oak in the back of Sandy. Maybe less people.
  5. It was terrible at the end of last week. I need to remember when Texas' spring break is and the TOBI was going on. Rayburn was busy too but not like The Bend. Should be better this week cause I can't go lol. Good luck.
  6. The lake level is at 172.9' with 11 gates open 1 foot and both generators running 24 hrs a day. Backs of creeks on the south end looked good to me (stained). As for conditions remaining the same, I doubt it. Everyday is different to me. Good luck.
  7. Yes Sir, thanks but I'm not too good at that.
  8. They're in the brush. Grass or not. One minute it seems they are in the deepest most isolated bushes then the next thing you know you catch em around cypress trees way back in the shallowest water surrounded by bushes. I think it's certain areas but who knows? All I know is I can't catch em right now without grinding out the flip stick. I tried.
  9. Yes Sir, you're welcome. Thanks for the heads up. Probably fish Rayburn, mostly, cause it suits my style more but if the weather is too bad to go too far, I'll check it out.
  10. Several more DD's dated 2-17-18 while I was working. Good news is next week is rained out so I'll finally get to fish ?
  11. I saw it. Beautiful fish. Congrats!
  12. Jason, they sprayed for Salvania (however you spell it) but there is no way that killed all the grass. In my humble opinion, the record high water and sudden release flushed it down stream especially the main lake grass (hydrilla and hay grass). There is plenty of grass in Housen, Six Mile, and Mill but plenty of people too. Hope that helps. Welcome home. That rig you fished with sounds good. Do they bite both? Do you tie a polamar knot in the jig and tie the trick worm to the tag end kinda like a drop shot rig?
  13. Can't seem to get there! ?
  14. Thanks. Will do. Half price fishin' family rate.
  15. BF, y'all need a good land surveyor who loves to be in that vicinity? Lol
  16. Almost need a Gatling Gun mounted on the bow to fish those areas in peace, lately. I'll return when the humans slack off. Until then, I'll fish and learn out of the way less pressured areas. Plenty of room to spread out ?
  17. Cause they're zoomed out to show where it is. The original zoomed in picture shows a road bed. Like said, it was just to show a point that was 24' deep. They exist is all I was trying to show.
  18. It was just a quick example to show Amateur Hour that there were points/humps/ridges that were 20 to 25 feet deep. I guess I can zoom out so you know where I'm talking about. It's basically the community hole in Housen. Too many humans, usually. It's where the cross hairs are.
  19. I understand that. It's navionics off my phone because it was easy to capture. It might not even be right. One day I'll check it.
  20. True, but further southeast in the middle of the picture is a long flat point/ridge that is 24' deep. To me there are several good spots to try in this picture. Just gotta catch the right wind or lack of to try it in my boat.
  21. Them college boys did better today. One of em caught a 10. Can't wait until next week!
  22. I am but have no employees to complain just in case lol
  23. King, bosses are wayyyy overrated ?
