Gibbs slapped! That just means he loves ya! Once we found where Turkey Creek came into the channel we did fish it, were in the area about an hour or so. Got my Hook-N-Line map this morning. Yipee! Now waiting for Saturday to roll around.

Was frogging this year, early summer or so, had a blow up, set the hook, reeled it in. When I went to swing it into the boat I saw the largest bass ever on the end of my line. Just as it cleared the water the frog came out and the fish back into the water. I'm guessing it was 8 lbs.

Saturday afternoon we were following the river channel, basically the boat row. My fish finder, a cheap garmin that came with the boat, would go crazy every once in awhile show schools of fish. We tried fishing those locations several times with crank baits, carolina rigs, jigs and texas rigs in different colors. Nothing, no bites, no bumps, no nothing. A question, what kind of fish do you think they were? Also, every once in awhile there a fish would bust the water in, probably, 2 - 4 of water right off the channel. Should I have tried a buzz bait or other top water lure? Think it was a bass or gar? Any info and advice will be appreciated.

So answer a question from a newbie, is TB down a little or a lot? Launched on the North End today and if we were not in the river channel we were in 2' or less of water. During spring will the lake level rise? If so, how much?

Launched about 1:30pm from Circle Drive and wet the hooks till 4:45pm today, Sat Dec10, 2016. No fish, no bites. It was the first time in a couple of decades on The Bend. Looking for next Sat to be here already, gonna do it all over again.

How do I set my profile signature? Did a search on keyword "signatures" and "signature", found a couple about the profile. Clicked on my screen name, clicked profile, clicked edit. Did not see signature anywhere. Do I need to change out my glasses?

Power Pro 30# and 50# braid in the bayous and lakes of Louisiana. Between the trees, grass and structure/cover and whatever it is needed. Imo it comes down to water clarity.
