Dropping Dobyns, need suggestions
Fair enough. It may be that the better balance of the Expride sways me towards the characteristics of that rod as a whole. Which Helium/Exprides do you have? I have the Expride 72MH, 72MH glass, and the H3 73LMH.

Need some pond/kayak rods
IMO just take your nice setups. Ultimately, we don't spend money on a combo only to let it sit on a rod rack while we are out on the water.

Dropping Dobyns, need suggestions
I really like the Exprides, and the poison adrena is only going to be better. I also have a H3, Zolo, Champion, and levante. While the kistler is lighter, the Exprides are better balanced and more sensitive. The Zolo is a nice feeling rod, but not sensitive compared the the H3 or Expride, and I don't like the exposed threads. The Levante is sensitive for the price, and it looks sweet too. If I had to rank them: Expride Levante/H3 Zolo Champion Ultimately the balance on the H3 is a big negative for me.

Shimano or Daiwa?
Choice of reel isn't going to affect the fish you catch, but I have come to prefer shimano reels for their refinement.

Helios SX
Have many people used this reel? It has a disengaging spool shaft similar to what is found on the zillion.

Best Retrieving Rod in the ~$100 Range
The TCS 69mh or 7mh would be good choices for those cranks IMO. They just redid the rod line at ICAST. but you can find the older ones(basically the same rod) for alittle over $100. IMO they are much nicer than the Dobyns Fury. For swimbaits I would uses a different rod, something in the 7-73 range, MHF. Swimbaits don't require any special rod IMO.

Megabass Levante Perfect Pitch for Frogs?
I am planning to pick this model up for the same purposes soon.

SLX DC!?
Do you prefer the SLX over the K, period? I have been contemplating a Curado DC but the reel is just so wide, and width is something that does bother me about the K, which has a slimmer profile then the DC.

SLX DC!?
I would rather just spend a little more to get another curado K then an older citica, personally. I plan on picking up a Curado DC soon for my newly acquired expride 72mh glass. Some guys may want DC casting performance in a compact package. Both curados are quite wide, especially the DC.

SLX DC!?
The XT is coming out as well. I wonder if they have done away with the citica. Unfortunately we probably won’t be able to get the SLXDC this summer.

Thinking about a shorter frog rod
So I checked out the SLX 72H in a local Store last weekend and that rod is definitely out, way too tip heavy. I really like my recently acquired Levante Jerkbait special, and am leaning towards the Perfect Pitch in that series. For the moment I am a bank fisherman and a H power rod seems like a necessity now.

What is considered high end price range?
Lol.

Changing tackle warehouse shipping address after order is placed
Lol, that would explain it. I thought they were busy, since it said “all lines are busy” when I called, instead of something along the lines of “we are closed today”. Silly me.

Changing tackle warehouse shipping address after order is placed
Anyone have experience successfully changing a shipping address after placing an order? I screwed up the address on my order this afternoon, and haven’t been able to get through to customer service.

Yikes! Help with high end rod choice!!
I don't like it that much either, not in the champion flavor anyway. For me, it is too stiff for any moving baits except paddle tails, and not sensitive compared to the other rods in its price range.

Stuck a New PB today! The scale couldn't decide between 4-14 and 4-15, what am amazing feeling! Got him on a spinner bait in a small farm pond. I wish it was a 5, but now I have more motivation to go out and break the 5 lb mark.

2019 Levante vs orochi XX vs Destroyer
I agree about catching fish on cheap gear, my biggest fish ever(a king salmon) came on an ugly stick. For me, it is part of the experience. I have never seen one in person, but from what I gather Megabass has the sickest looking rods on the market.

Shimano rods
I love my 72MH Expride.

2019 Levante vs orochi XX vs Destroyer
For those who have used all three, how do they compare? I recently ordered a LV Jerkbait special and an older, gen 1 Orochi EMTF. I will be able to make a better comparison once I have them in hand, but for now I am interested in any feedback you guys might have.

I am not really new here, but I just found this section of the forum and wanted to make a brief post. As my username suggests, I grew up fishing the northeast but currently live in the Midwest. While I fish Primarily for Largemouth, my PB of 4 lb was a smallie, in eastern Ontario. I have the most confidence in frogs and spinnerbaits, but this year I am trying to focus on slowing down with jigs and plastics more, hopefully to catch a new PB. I have posted on the Rods, Reels, and Lines section on the forum quite a bit, but I thought I would introduce myself here since I never officially did so.

Probably asked 100 times...
Suffix Siege, I got 1000 yards for like 10 bucks on TW. It handles very well, and is precision would. Probably the most value I have gotten for $10 in fishing.
