  2. walking the dog is a pretty simple technique. jerk the rod tip with slack in the line and it will walk one way jerk it again and it should walk the other. there is a rhythm to it but once you get it it's very simple. you will find yourself jerking and reeling at the same time but very short turns of the handle just to pick up slack

  14. for me it never leaves the spool but there are people who do what you are talking about and they seem to like it
  15. for me i found that backing the reel with braid has helped immensely with casting distance
  16. does the rod seem to be loading up well and you just aren't getting distance out of your reel?

  18. picked up a few things on saturday. 2 plano boxes one large crankbait box to help organize my jerkbaits. one for my spinnerbaits & buzzbaits i also picked up some spinnerbaits for the box can't have it empty i then picked up 2 project z chatterbaits and a few packs of havoc subwoofers

  23. Okay i'm looking into getting my first fish/depth finder i was looking at the lowrance hook 5 or hook 7 or the humminbird helix 7 has anyone used these or have anything they would suggest when looking into my first electronics
  24. i love my tatula type-r for flipping and pitching in the 8.1.1 ratio i am also looking for a new rod i was looking at the mojo bass 7'4" heavy and the Lew's custom speed stick 7'4" heavy mag pitching. Edit: something i would stay away from is the abu garcia veritas i feel like the rod itself isnt built the best. i've had 2 and they both broke in under a year
