  1. Going to give Jerkbait fishing an attempt in the fall got some 110's and also have a Megabass Ronin rod on the way
  2. Sunline sniper is my preferred fluorocarbon been using it for past 4 years and love it. As mentioned above spray some kvd on it as well and you'll be fine.
  3. I only fish Pfluegers and prefer a size 30 in their lineup but have some 35's on a few rods as well.
  4. St Croix victory 6'10 mlxf or 7'1" mf may fit the bill for you
  5. This shop has the all 25 models listed appears they'll be available in August https://www.thornebros.com/collections/casting-rods/products/st-croix-victory-casting https://www.thornebros.com/products/st-croix-victory-spinning
  6. Soft plastics- strike King/rage tail and zoom Crankbaits- rapala, strike King, yo-zuri Spinnerbaits- war eagle Spoons- kastmasters
  7. Spring-spinnerbait, sof plastics, lipless/square bill cranks Summer-frogs, deep diving cranks, soft plastics Fall-same as spring + fish head spins and spoons
  8. Your going to love that supreme, I got 2 supreme xt's and 2 supreme mgx's to go along with my presidents and love them all.
  9. I personally seldom use rattle traps, I much prefer to use the red eye shads and the rapala rippin raps myself.
  10. Pflueger all the way, get yourself either a president, president LE, or the supreme xt you don't be disappointed.
  11. It's doable since it doesnt have a whole lot of memory and is thin, but when I used a CX premium I stuck with 6 and 8 lb tests on my spinning reels. I like 6# cxx premium or braid better on spinning reels, get some kvd for the cxx and your good to go.
  12. I have 20lb power pro braid on my supreme xts(9230 & 9235) and it works great on them, I think anything from 10#-20# braid is great on spinning tackle. Use some cheap mono as backing so you get the most out of the spool of braid, since braid is expensive.
  13. War eagle spinners are durable and flat out catch fish.
  14. I have the rapala touch screen scale I got it for $35 new off eBay and like it so far. http://www.rapala.com/rapala/fishing-tools/scales/15-lb.-touch-screen-scale-tournament-model/RTDS-15.html
  15. Keitech swimbaits and zoom swimming flukes are my favorites, and I'm sure the new rage swimmers will do well on them to when I get some.
  16. Cxx is good tuff line and very affordable, 6# for spinning and 10# for casting is perfect just use some kvd on it. C21 and p-line fluorocarbon are good lines as well to me, especially the c21. I like CX premium in 8# and higher but anything smaller seems to be VERY coily to me. I tried 4# CX premium for trout and it was irritating coiling off the spool and tangling up and I sprayed kvd on it prior to use. Fluoroclear I didn't like it as a main line, it cast like a dream but seems to break easily so now I use what I have for leaders which it performs fine so far.
  17. Roadrunners, tubes, and small kastmasters spoons have caught a fair share of nice sized bass for me while crappie fishing.
  18. I have 2 of the older president spinning models that are from the 6700 series with the wooden knob (6900 is what's sold now), both of them are still going strong with pretty decent use. One of them had a piece inside the spool break, back then they came with a spare spool so I never missed any fishing while I sent it back. They cast excellent and have a very smooth drag, I've caught everything from crappie to catfish to hybrid stripers and they've handled them all with ease. I have a old supreme baitcaster, I don't use it much since I'm still not that good with baitcasters so can't comment on it much.
  19. The pflueger supreme xts and older presidents come with 2 spools, I spool one with fluorocarbon and the other with braid and carry the spare in my bag. A few lakes I fish have pads etc where braid is better, so I carry the spares.
  20. Look into the supreme mg or mgx, they are the silver ones before the xt model like the one in goose52s post. You can get one of them for 100 in stores and usually for 80 or less online at sites like eBay. I have a brand new one in the box I bought from gander for $80 last year that I couldn't pass on.
  21. Check eBay, I got one of the original pflueger supreme (model before the xt) for 65 bucks on there brand new.
  22. I'm similar to you I have seven pfluegers 4 presidents, 2 supreme xts, and 1 mgx. I feel they're the best spinning reel and would highly recommend the OP pick up one. As far as the question, I'm kinda iffy to the 25 series for bass. I have a 8025 and a 6925 and I've been using them for trout, and they fit perfect for that. Yes I've caught some bass and a few small pickerel on them, but I feel the 30 series would be a better fit for bass imo.
