Richmond Fishing Expo - 2010
Oh come on, Andrew. We could make it to Greentop in like an hour and twenty minutes if there isn't any traffic.

for raul....
from the picture he posted right after the "LOL" in his comment I would say he was being sarcastic...

spro frogs
It's not weedless when a fish bites it and takes it down into the lily pad roots. Lily pad roots have 18.2lb breaking points. If the fish wraps you around 2 roots... :-X

Green Top is the Best!
that's the only one.

spro frogs
I honestly don't think the color matters all that much. It looks pretty much the same from below anyway, IMO. I fish hollow bodied frogs in slop with thick vegetation and/or lily pads so I fish it on 50lb braid.

A gun went off in BPS (Richmond) today
why would that second associate chamber a round and then shoot? What was he thinking?

Cash Back Scam - Is this True?
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/scams/cashback.asp Snopes says it is undetermined but they bring up a good point about the cashiers not being able to request cash back. The request cash back button is on the credit card pad which is controlled by the customer.

cash for clunker
you know what? I think this may be the very first time that my opinion was changed after an internet debate. I think I get what you are saying, farmpond.

cash for clunker
I'm angry because the taxpayer is being forced to shell out money for those who least deserve it. Most of this is whooey as far as I'm concerned. Why do you deserve the money anymore than people who are trading in their cars for new ones? The primary goal of the program is to create an incentive for people to buy new cars, is it not?
-
There no point in trying anymore.
as long as you get an A on your test then you will get an A average, meaning it won't have an affect on your GPA whether you get a 95 or a 100...
-
They don't build 'em like this anymore
wow, that just looked BIZARRE

cash for clunker
So you're just angry because the timing was bad? Or because the government isn't going to pay people for cars they ALREADY own?
-
cash for clunker
I heard the government was suspending the program...

Snakehead
They will stay in less oxygenated water than bass. That means you can find them in algae choked areas and shallower areas where bass are less likely to be.
-
Snakehead
1)they can be caught on quite a few lures but the most success that I've read about have been topwaters. 2)whatever you want to do with it. throw it on the bank, in a trash can...but I would eat it. They are supposedly very much like tilapia. 3)they are invasive so there is always a concern about what they might do to a fishery. They were introduced illegally to the Potomac years ago and everyone got really scared and thought all the bass would die. It hasn't happened. They haven't had much of an affect at all on the Potomac. They have never found a bass in the belly of a snakehead.

How big is my bass?
3 or 4
-
NOVA no bites
Mattawoman Creek but we were back in an area that requires a jet boat.
-
Fishing for browns on the Potomac
tubes, soft jerkbaits, and shakey head worms. all in brown or green. Fish in areas where the water changes depths rapidly, areas where the current slows or breaks. Maybe some topwaters like poppers and walk-the-dog baits as well.

Potential Record-Tying bass "May" be invalid
EXCEPT for the fact that the record rules say that the fish must be caught in a legal area. At least that is what I've heard, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
-
NOVA no bites
Nah, I'm not going to resize that many pictures. It should be fine if you are using high resolution on your monitor.
-
Potential Record-Tying bass "May" be invalid
I may have read it wrong but I thought it meant that the area he was fishing was off limits to fishing period and the record must come from an area that is legal to fish.
-
NOVA no bites
a few from last night almost caught a snakehead too. it followed my frog for a while and then turned away when it saw the boat.

Potential Record-Tying bass "May" be invalid
that article says he caught it on a bluegill. That makes three different baits that I've read about!
