  1. You missed out! There are virtually no clearance baitcasters left worth talking about...and I've looked, believe me. *EDIT* I just checked again and there are something like 100+ Citica201E out there, about 100+ Quantum Tour Editions (combining high speed and reg. speed) about 40 Revo SX LH and that's pretty much it.
  2. The rod in question was not clearance and I agree, it is a good deal. There was also 20% off all braided line last week or buy 3 get 1 lures that ran for much of the spring/summer.
  3. No Revos. The only clearance reels are gonna be the Shimano Symetre, Saros, and Sahara. Other than that there may be a few stores with some random Quantum Tour Editions that have been on clearance for a while but it's unlikely.
  4. I'm going to bet it was a Shimano Zuraca combo. It is green and silver
  5. Clearance lures, terminal, and flies are now ringing 50% off the clearance price. (price ending in .97)
  6. At the very least they should have had regular price lures buy 4 get 1 free. As for the clearance, like I said, some stores are better than others at pulling out and labeling the clearance. I'm sure they have clearance they probably just haven't scanned it and separated it from the rest.
  7. Yes, those combos were on sale for $79 plus a $20 rebate that makes them $59
  8. For what it's worth, that might be regional. I have not heard any such communication as of yet.
  9. Buy some Case Plastics Sinkin' Salty Shads. They are cheaper than the GYCB. They have similar characteristics as the GYCB as far as the density and sink rate but they are more durable (although only marginally)
  10. There aren't many good deals as far as rods and reels go. Last year there were a bunch of baitcasters from Shimano on clearance because they redid their lineup. This year there are some Shimano spinning reels on clearance. I think it's just the Symetre and Saros models that are marked for clearance. As far as rods, there may be a few St Croixs but that varies a lot between stores and then some cheapo Daiwa and Field and Stream rods and a few Carrot Stix and Skeet Reese rods. Also, the Daiwa Takara baitcasters and spinning reels. Other than that, it's mostly terminal and lures. I saw a lot of Strike King (Rage Tail and otherwise) some Zoom, some YUM, a bit of Powerbait, a BUNCH of Havoc, some Strike King hardbaits, some Bandit, some Xcalibur, lots of Rapala, some colors of the Reaction Innovations Kinky Beavers, some Terminator spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, and a little bit of Big Bite stuff. For the most part, there will be unmarked clearance stuff. There's just far too much of it to go through and find all of the lures that dropped to clearance. Some stores will be better at others than separating the clearance from the regular price stuff.
  11. Grass carp was my immediate thought. The tails on the big ones can turn a dark gray/blue color.
  12. That scenario is what CAN happen when invasive species are introduced. It doesn't always happen. Up here in Virginia/Maryland we have Northern Snakeheads which are bigger than the bulls eyes you guys have down there. They have fit into the ecosystem of the Potomac river pretty well without disturbing the rest of the fish very much (at least as of now, roughly 10 years after they were first discovered in the system)
  13. Probably because people call them tools for liking a certain brand. Please post examples of Shimano owners being "tools" and I'll show you just as many similar posts about Daiwas and Abus.
  14. I like Shimanos for two reasons: Because all the Abus I've owned have crapped out or been outperformed by every comparable Shimano I've owned. Because I prefer centrifugal brakes to magnetic brakes. But beyond that, I see four times as many posts complaining about a "shimano bias" or the "posse" as I do posts made by Shimano owners that are above and beyond what any of the Daiwa/Quantum/Abu guys say. For example: I see **** like this all the time..ALL THE TIME...but no one has claimed a "Daiwa posse" Why? I don't know, but I think it's more than a little myopic. It's the internet people...you know the saying about buttholes and opinions...
  15. Check the clearance sections too. All clearance tackle is an additional 25% off the clearance price right now. A good example is the Shimano Saros which can be had for right around $75 right now.
  16. I've been doing pretty well in the creeks of the Potomac. Nothing huge but lots of 2-3 and occasional near 4lbers on topwaters with a snakehead or two thrown in the mix.
  17. Dang, must make inventory easy when the hardbaits all have the same SKU

I've had a Primanti Bros sandwich but it wasn't from their original location. It was meh. I'd love to have one of those roast pork sandwiches. They look awesome. I am fond of all sandwiches. Lately I have been enjoying a good deli near my workplace that has gigantic cold cut sandwiches with authentic italian meats and peppers, oil, etc... I've also been known to enjoy a cuban sandwich every once in a while, barbecue, ham, roast beef, chicken, turkey, etc... I love them all. There is no such thing as a bad sandwich, only varying levels of goodness.
  19. How much does spinning a handle at a counter REALLY help you? Order one from Tackle Warehouse, give it a shot. If you don't like it, return it.
  20. Jon, have you ever tried Seaguar Invizx? I love it. Super limp and manageable and never had any issues with it breaking off.
  21. Koppers Live Target are the best of that bunch.
  22. this is quickly turning into myspace
  23. More lanes? For what? The only time it gets backed up is if there is an accident, snow, or two jackass truck drivers side by side that refuse to pass each other and make a moving ro***.
  24. I wonder how those bulls eyes fight compared to northern snakeheads we have up here in the Potomac.
