Precisely why I made a folder in my PMs for any business transactions.
  2. So I have a VA registration, a MD registration, a NOAA registration, a VA freshwater license, a DC license, and a MD saltwater license that I have to keep in my wallet...awesome. :
  3. I agree with dodgeguy. You had 30 days during which the retailer covered you if something happened. After 30 days it's your responsibility to take care of it with the manufacturer. I'd almost guarantee it also says that on your receipt from when you bought it. ALWAYS, ALWAYS keep a receipt for stuff like that.
  4. Hasn't enough time passed to stop saying "winning?"
  5. I disagree. The definition of athlete requires "physical agility, stamina, or strength" or "physical skill" not just "skill." Fishing doesn't have that. I don't get what you guys are saying about being on a boat, operating a trolling motor, etc as being difficult exercise. If you think that's difficult then you are out of shape. Just because something requires God given talent, competitiveness, dedication, practice, hard work, or experience DOES NOT CONCLUSIVELY MAKE IT A SPORT. There are plenty of what I categorize as "activities" that require a combination or all of those things ie: singing in a choir. I don't respect someone who is successful at what I deem as "activities" any less than I respect athletes--I just put them in different categories.
  6. it looks like only two of them actually rang up as 50% off and then all the others were changed to be 50% off. Was there a sign that said 50% off or something? I'm curious as to why the cashier adjusted the prices.
  7. I like this song. It helps me remember the order of the days in the week. Gotta love lyrics that have a purpose.
  8. d**n, way to negotiate Robby! What'd the mechanic say? Are you gonna need to replace/repair anything?
  9. I use PowerPro mostly but have also spooled up some Sufix to test out. I have nothing bad to say about PowerPro. For all the garbage spewed about it, I've never, ever had it break on me.
  10. I thought it was cool as s$&*
  11. It's called the "Score More" program. It applies for almost anything on the website. If you see it on the site and can't find it in the store, let them know and they'll set you up. In most cases it will show up at your house as quickly as UPS can get it to you. There are some exceptions ie: basketball systems, gun safes, other really big or heavy items that will not get the free shipping. The stores keep track of it and are encouraged to promote the program as much as possible. There is a specific goal each day for "Score More" orders so by doing them you are helping out the store's numbers as well.
  12. My store has a whole display of Havoc stuff
  13. It would be easier to help if there was a link provided
  14. Dave, i just want you to know that I appreciated all three of your posts in this thread. Well done.
  15. it's the same general shape, I'd loosely call the spear "inspired" by the stingray grub. The stingray is not super common or especially popular anymore, it is also much smaller so I'm excited about the spears. I already bought several packs to try
  16. dream pistols: or Micro, I've heard of some controversy around Kimbers. What is your take?
  17. Agreed ib, I think riverrat is talking about a stingray grub,
  18. Rooster, bait and switch is different than prices being mismarked inside a store
  19. If it's clearly a mistake and the price is off by a large amount then don't fuss about it. If it was something like an old sale price that they forgot to take down, then they have the right to deny the sale for that price but they'll usually give it to you for whatever the sign said as long as it isn't too big of a price difference.
  20. In what part of the legal code is that located?
  21. It easier to keep up with one email address. I used same email address for everything. All of my university email goes to my gmail. I'm failing to see why this is relevant. If someone wants to register, just create an email account with your ISP and use that. Continue to use your Gmail for email if you want, the ISP email account is just used to register. If someone is concerned about checking their ISP account for BR-related emails they can have it forwarded to another account like Gmail. As a side note, Gmail is way better than any webmail setups offered from any ISPs that I am aware of so I don't blame anyone for wanting to use that. One decent alternative to Outlook is "Thunderbird" from Mozilla
  22. why not just set up an account with your ISP and then have it forward mail to your gmail address?
  23. How are you all accessing the internet? If you have an internet service provider (and if you have the internet at home, you almost certainly have an ISP) then you should be able to setup an email account with them...
  24. the revised one fixed the issue i was talking about. IMO, it looks much better. nice job
  25. see that white border that you used behind the black layers to make it stand out? use another one to outlline the left side of the mouth. i think that might improve it by making it more visible
