  1. Also, all insulated and orange hunting apparel is 50% off the lowest marked price. Good time to go stock up for next year. Oh and also, Comfort Zone treestands/blinds are BOGO, and all shotgun ammo is buy one get one 50% off except target loads (at least at the stores near me)
  2. Two things about the Rage Tails: 1. We barely have any in stock. That should change soon as we have been getting a lot of baits coming in our recent shipments to get ready for the spring fishing season. 2. The only ones that seem to be on clearance are the space monkeys. They are good baits, but I wish the other stuff was on clearance also. I would grab some of the clackin raps (lipless crankbaits) and some DTs in various running depths. The lipless baits are good in lots of places and the cranks will probably be a good option for fish on those deep spots you find with the downscan. They are usually pricey but if you grab the ones that are on clearance the are well worth it.
  3. Anything that is on clearance (ends with .97 cents) is an extra 50% off. I picked up a load of Rapalas (select items are on clearance like clackin raps and some DTs) and some Rage Tail stuff (space monkeys specifically)
  4. All of the Occoquan River is no-wake from the dam out to the opening of Belmont Bay.
  5. At our store, anything in fishing that is clearance (price ends with .97 cents) is an additional 50% off. Check out Rapala, Strike King, line, and some terminal tackle for the good finds.
  6. You gonna install a seat belt on the toilet?
  7. So far, yes, but I understand enough to know that sometimes stuff happens beyond one's control.
  8. I vote for a couple amendments to the rules next year. 1) Participants must have been board members for X amount of time. 2) Participants must be at least 18 years old. Obviously whoever ends up organizing it will decide the rules but I have decided that I will not be participating until these changes are made. Bah humbug.
  9. How do you get the URL for your page?
  10. "Napolean, like anyone could even know."
  11. Yep, I think that is the case. Very strange though, that they define the term two different ways within the code.
  12. I've used it for buzzbaits but never anything else. I tried it with walking baits but if you let it pause the line pulls the nose down and it is difficult to get the bait to walk correctly.
  13. VA doesn't seem any more restrictive about what you own, it just wants buyers to prove they are citizens to buy "assault firearms." § 18.2-308.2:2 "In addition, no dealer shall sell, rent, trade or transfer from his inventory any assault firearm to any person who is not a citizen of the United States or who is not a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence. To establish citizenship or lawful admission for a permanent residence for purposes of purchasing an assault firearm, a dealer shall require a prospective purchaser to present a certified birth certificate or a certificate of birth abroad issued by the United States State Department, a certificate of citizenship or a certificate of naturalization issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, an unexpired U.S. passport, a United States citizen identification card, a current voter registration card, a current selective service registration card, or an immigrant visa or other documentation of status as a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. " Here's where I'm getting confused. In the above section, it says that "Assault firearm" "means any semi-automatic center-fire rifle or pistol which expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material and is equipped at the time of the offense with a magazine which will hold more than 20 rounds of ammunition or designed by the manufacturer to accommodate a silencer or equipped with a folding stock." ...but in another section (§ 18.2-308.7) it says an "assault firearm" as "any (i) semi-automatic centerfire rifle or pistol which expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material and is equipped at the time of the offense with a magazine which will hold more than 20 rounds of ammunition or designed by the manufacturer to accommodate a silencer or equipped with a folding stock or (ii) shotgun with a magazine which will hold more than seven rounds of the longest ammunition for which it is chambered." So it looks like there are two definitions of "assault firearm" in the VA code. Each definition says, "as used in this section" so it's possible that the shotgun inclusion might only apply to § 18.2-308.7 which deals with carrying in public but NOT § 18.2-308.2:2 which deals with the transfer of firearms.
  14. As far as I'm aware, that capacity would define it as an "assault weapon" under VA law. That should require proof of citizenship unless I'm mistaken. Although that proof of citizenship requirement might only be on the federal form and the federal government's definition of assault weapons wouldn't apply to that particular shotgun.
  15. That is a very interesting design. That is a d**n large magazine capacity. That gun would require additional documentation than the norm to purchase in VA. Any word on how much it weighs?
  16. I decided to limit myself in the same way last year. Now I pretty much only buy a plastic in two colors: green pumpkin and black/ black and blue. There are some exceptions for special deals or certain baits that I'll buy in shad colors and the occasional purple but most of my box is green and black/blue
  17. Yeah, isn't a motorbike required to be registered/titled like a car or boat?
  18. Depends on ice. Last year me and two buddies caught over 100 perch in 2.5 hours in the third week of February. The water temp was 34 degrees. The Occoquan is a great place for yellow perch if you have a boat. It will soon be loaded with perch but it is difficult to fish from shore because most of the shoreline is very very steep and/or private property.
  19. Try the search function, there are lots of threads on this topic.
  20. wow, that really is a cool gift.
  21. Ever since I graduated from school and started working I decided that snow sucks. I still have to work when it snows...it just makes things more difficult for me. I shoveled snow like it was my job last year...I'm done with snow for a long time.
  22. You all have seen Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, right?
  23. LMAO. You're telling me those are actual conversations? Where do you work?
  24. lmao, I see that commercial with Bob Vila and "Al" from Home Improvement pretty much every day.
