  1. I've been having trouble with nasal congestion in the past couple weeks. I decided to try a nasal spray. I got generic Afrin and it worked like a charm. The only problem was I had to use it twice a day or I couldn't breathe out of my nose. Well, then I came to find out about "rebound congestion" where apparently if you use Afrin for more than a few days you get uncontrollably stuffed up if you don't use it. So instead of becoming dependent on nasal spray I decided to try something without that chemical. At CVS they had this spray called "Sinus Busters" that doesn't have the chemical that is in Afrin. Instead, its active ingredient is capsaicin. Yes, capsaicin that you spray in your nose. So I tried it out. WOWZA! That woke me up! So far, not working as well as Afrin which pretty much gave me a completely clear nose within 2 minutes but it has been helping to clear my nose. I figured a mild pepper spray would work a little better.

    This thread occurs every year...
  3. Why no wading? It's been a while since I've been there but I never saw any no wading signs.
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. Usually pretty crowded. It can be good if you are willing to wade.

I thought citizens can fish the ponds? I know citizens can fish on Quantico.
  9. It's in Loudoun County. Look Northwest of Dulles Airport on a map. Also, check this: http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/waterbodies/?type=1

Fairfax is public but the banks are generally coated in a layer of goose poo and it doesn't seem very productive.
  11. Beaverdam can be good if you know what you are doing (I do not). It is relatively deep and requires knowledge of the underwater structure. Bank fishing Beaverdam is a waste of time in my opinion. There isn't a ton of fishable shoreline. You're more likely to catch lyme disease from the zillions of ticks than you are to catch many fish.

private, private, sucky, private, and private.
  13. As far as anadromous fish: in the Potomac we have shad, herring, perch, and striper that make spring time runs. From what I understand (at least about striper) is that their eggs need to be moving through highly oxygenated water for a certain period of time in order to survive; in order to give their eggs the best chance to survive, they swim upriver as far as possible (in the Potomac this point is a natural barrier created by Little Falls). But I think you were talking about fish in lakes moving to creek arms, etc...
  14. I prefer my balance point to be just a bit in front of the reel seat.
  15. The lake is separated into two "sides" by dikes. One is called the "hot side" and is much warmer than the other because water is used to cool the nuclear power plant and the warm water is pumped back into that side. The other side is called the "cold" side. The "warm side" is private and requires access to private ramps to fish with a boat. It cannot be reached if you launch from the cold side.
  16. What he said. The scanner should have come with software to install on your computer. Check the programs list for that program. Open it up and you should be able to change the save format to an image file type (.jpg or .gif would probably be the most easily uploaded)
  17. The clearance price for the rods was $79.97. When you apply the IN STORE ONLY SALE of the additional 50% off the clearance price, it comes to $39.99.
  18. Seriously. He has austism, a mental condition that involves inadequate social aptitude. Her solution: sit him behind a screen so he doesn't have to work on those skills....and her concern is about her son's gamertag?!?!
  19. I don't know why someone would think it was a mistake. I received no such communication. I think the Premiers that were on clearance were just old stock so they got clearanced just like everything else.
  20. I found a pair of aluminum pliers that had been on the 50% off the clearance price until the 24th. Too bad I found them on the 26th...
  21. I wonder what "external means" they were talking about.
  22. The sale is over. Try again next year.
  23. The 50% off clearance ended on the 24th as far as I saw. Beyond that, all of the new stock that I have scanned so far has been regular price. I think the clearance was just on last year's stock to make room for the new stuff.
  24. They won't even sell them to employees without a release of liability. I guess they got sued in the past or something.
