PS3
Well, I haven't personally seen any malfunctions, but I would still say that the risk is still worth it with the xbox because there just aren't games for ps3. most gamers and game reviewers agree that the xbox is still a more practical buy for that very reason. If it does happen to break, just send it back...i think the off chance of waiting 3 weeks to get back a broken unit is well worth being able to play more games.

The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl - Prediction Thread
I didn't think the game would go like this, I thought OU would win, even though I would prefer WV to win, sooo, I'm pretty happy so far. Not as happy as Aaron is, but happy. WV is just running circles around OU on offense and defense.

PS3
well no offense, but they must be doing something wrong. I know quite a few people who have 360s and none have had issues.

PS3
Honestly, I would get an XBOX360 over a PS3. Just keep your ps2 to play the ps2 games and get a 360 to play new games, or at least wait until ps2 starts to release more games. The ps3 has better hardware but you aren't going to be able to take advantage of it unless you spend money to get an hdtv and all the cables hooked up. If you are ready for that expense or already have an HDTV, go for a ps3 but otherwise, go for the 360. The 360 is selling the way it is for a reason, gamers know that it simply offers better games than the ps3 and the differences in hardware aren't that noticeable unless you have a nice home theater setup.

SWIMBAITS
That's what I realized at BPS when looking at the Luck E STrikes. I wanted to get the 4" version because I was worried about the bait being too big but then I thought about it and realized that I fish 4 and 5" jerkbaits all the time so I got the bigger size.

REDSKINS!!
Collins looked really good yesterday. I say they keep him in and put JC in only if Collins struggles. I was very pleased with the way they kept putting up points, they need to keep doing that to win instead of just scoring a few and sitting back to try to play defense like they have all through the season. Even though the Cowboys didn't have anything to play for, it's nice to have the skinnies get a win over them.

Guitar Hero III
i can beat almost all the songs on hard but my roommate is unbelievable. He beat Jordan in GH2 and he has beaten every song on GH3, including the Dragonforce song you unlock when you beat the game.

LSU Backed in to the BCS Championship Game?
I don't see the point of trying to determine a reasonable championship game with the crazy way this season went. With so many upsets every week, it's very, very difficult to make a solid argument for one team over another. It's just what happens when you have a crazy season in an equally crazy system.

Skitter Prop
bass AND tarpon? not at the same place, right? anyway, dsaavedra, I love the skitterprop in the same color you have. I have had great luck with it for river smallmouth, especially during low light hours. Just use a series of jerks and pauses, the propeller will pull make a bubble stream behind the lure. just try it out, it's really an easy lure to fish.

Dick's Sporting Goods deals
lard bass, that's strange about the inventory system at Dicks. At the Dick's I worked at in Virginia, we could check the inventory of other stores in the district with a handheld device. It was difficult to do though and not all the workers knew how to do it, maybe that is their problem.

Yessssssssss! It's over.
no doubt it's a classic, but i agree, it does get quite old. I just love some of the lines though.

Check out this LMB
that's the first thing I thought, that it looked like camo. That is a very good example of a fish with extreme pigmentation, I don't think I've ever seen one that black.

The Dicks I worked at had prices very similar to other places, maybe a few cents higher on some items but it seemed pretty much the same.

Dick's Sporting Goods deals
the fishing and hunting manager at my local dicks (i used to work there) told me that they are getting tons of new tackle that they'll be putting on the shelves in the coming months. Keep an eye out for that surge of new tackle, Dick's doesn't get giant loads of tackle very often

Richmond Virginia Fishing Expo
I'm gonna try to make it. Went to the one in MD last year and had a blast but Richmond has got to be better with Greentop in town.

Fishing Expo & Boat Show in MD
I went to the expo in maryland and had a great time. I didn't go to any of the lectures but I they had a TON of small company baits that were unique as well as some hard to find baits and most of it was pretty low priced. I will probably wait for the one in VA this year. Greentop is awesome, any excuse to go down there is great.

Who here likes to read?
I've been in the middle of Rabbit, Run by John Updike for a while, I like him as a writer though. I'm also a huge Hemingway fan, books and short stories. Gotta love that iceberg principle... Muddy, have you read "The Drum Major Instinct"? I like that essay a lot. hookemdown, I don't see how you like Kafka, I can't stand him. I read the metamorphosis in 10th or 11th grade and I recall it reading like the dream of a passed out crack head.

Was 9/11 so long ago ???
P-rock makes a good point about Geneva. People always complain about Gitmo and the Geneva convention as a legally binding treaty that GWB has "violated" and should be prosecuted for. There are a few reasons why the Geneva convention is irrelevant legally to our situation. 1. The United States has not ratified the Geneva Convention, therefore it is not legally bound by its terms. 2. the Geneva convention requires that captured combatants must: a) have a defined hierarchical system of command, wear defined uniforms, c) carry arms openly, and d) operate in accordance with the convention in order to be treated with the protections of the Geneva convention. Otherwise they are determined to be "enemy combatants" and are not protected by Geneva. any terrorists captured and sent to Gitmo do not fulfill these requirements and therefore would not be granted protection of the Geneva Convention even IF we had ratified it. also, these "enemy combatants" are reviewed each year to determine whether they are still threats to the US. The release some of these prisoners every year and of those released, 1/3 are CAUGHT and detained again for participating in terrorist activities. So the next time someone tries to argue that we are violating international law by not providing detainees with the protection of the Geneva convention, just remember to tell them that the protections don't apply to the terrorists under the convention's own wording and that the Convention doesn't apply the US because international law is only binding to those who sign it.

No apparatus exercise program
avid, lots of people work well with structured workouts, but man people drop them because of the boring nature of repeating the same workout everytime. I would try some of the stuff that people have mentioned to you but also try to mix things up, its much easier to stick with working out that way. Also, the two best ways to get in shape are eating better and cardio, make sure you put them first, otherwise anything else you do is worthless.
